The difference in ride from a P2 and Sabre is worth the money. The wave over the bow is not going to happen until about 3 foot of waves. A Sabre was my first Cat and there are days I wish I still had it for the smaller areas you can access, but once you buy a bigger boat ,you will wonder what took you so long to make up your mind. Anytime you add length, the stability is going to get better, especially with a Cat.

The 2 piece have good and bad in my opinion. The good is they are versatile and for the most part durable. The bad is the section where the the rods telescope. I have split 4 or 5 in the telescoping sections using them flippin with braid and 1 ounce jigs. I know use them for football and 1/2 to 3/4 jigs and baits. I havee had several brands and will not start that debate about rod brands.Cliff

If you are fishing the co-angler side and want to pre- fish in your boat, you must also have the minimum liability insurance required by BASS. I think it is 300,000 min for all events with BASS. Like Scott said, you can most likely find someone at the ramp or motel that would be happy to have some company in the boat for a couple of days. Hope this helps you a little.Cliff
