I like them, in fact I like chicken cooked in them as well. but who cares, anyhow thanks for the info, I was thinking of selling or something with the 225 ho evinrude and sticking a 250 po xs merc on the back with a jackplate. Or just keep whats on it and see how long it holds up, who knows? I never owned a evinrude or johnson that didnt spend more time in the shop than on the water. So I switched to Merc or Yamaha and have had good luck with them. I wonder if they chnged the hull under them since 2003? I expect a smooth ride from what everyone has ever said, so that is what I need and to keep cost down I thought get an older one and put a newer engine on it.

So I caved and called the previous owner, he cut out two boards and placed tehm in there to level the bottom for plano boxes. I didnt pull up on them hard enough to get them out, he cut a temp plate out of cardboard and has them snug in there. Sorry for all the bother but I was asked about them and didnt know what to say. At least it is nothing to be concerned about. A good idea for what they do. So on to the next mystery. Thanks for the help.

I have owned about 8 bassboats over 32 years of bassfishing, i injured my back and now I cant fish like i used too.
