Jason, thanks for your reply! I really hate to sell this boat, but I got caught up in the 80+ mph bug and I really cant afford it. Besides, this boat is so nice, I just wont take it into all those little spots I need to go in fear of scratching it all up.
thought Id add some pictures since I finally figured out how……
will consider trade for 2000 – 2006 sabre

I just installed mine after watching the video 3 times, I must say that the front looks great, but the sides and edges look pretty bad. I took my time and used the hair dryer, but still could not get all the wrinkles out. Next time I will pay someone to do it.
This is the got senko
BCB,My reasoning for the controls is that when turn on my fill pump I have to go to the back and turn it off. I fill my tanks and use my recirc pump with the timer. Based on the water temp, I will change the water several times a day by using the fill pump. Since the only time Im at the helm is when Im runnig, (fill pump wont work then) I find my self going back and forth to turn it on and off. The bow controls would eliminate this.As for the acc and the light switch, I dont have an acc conected nor do I night fish, so for me, these options are not used. However, since they are not flush, I step on them several times a day (have even broken one). I was just thinking that I could replace the switches with another flush livewell control and eliminate both issues.I feel like Im being picky, and its not a necessity, just wondering! It really says alot about basscat when this is the only thing I would like to change. Keep up the good work!!!
Are you intersted in new or slightly used? Where are you located? Email me [email protected] or call 251-415-1695
I went through this delima 2 years ago when I ordered mine. I went with the advantage. My decision was based on performance, all the data I could find said that the advantage out performed the FTD and PUMA. I am totally satisfied with my performance 82 mph (gps) with 2 tournament fisherman and gear, 3.2 mpg @ 6000 and 4.5 mpg @ 5200 (70 mph)! Yes, the rear storage is a negative, but I have never come close to using all the forward storage on mine. As for the little “bells and whistles”, the FTD has more, you can look at the option pages on the BCB wesite to see what the diferences are. Some of these FTD standards I just did not need and you can allways add the options you want to the advantage. The FTD and PUMA are also more expensive which was a factor for me as well.Either way, you cant go wrong!
Ive had boats with and without, the advantage of a manual is its cheaper, the hydraulic give you the ability to adjust the settings based on load and conditions. It also allows you to trim motor up to run in shallower water. Either way, if you can afford it, go with the hydraulic. The only drawback is if it fails during fishing. I trailer mine on a neutral setting so when I come to the launch and it wont work, at least I can fish.
