Should the switch be installed in-line with the positive or the negative?

I have a 2000 saber with a mariner 150(hydrolic jack plate). I am running a 25 tempest, it will run 66 on GPS. Holeshot is very good until it gets really hot, thats where the hydrolic jack plate really shines.

I live in Mississippi and have the same exact boat. I have never had a problem even in the hottest months.

Check the trim wires at the forward, nuetral, reverse lever. The first tournament I fished after buying my 2001 sabre myself and partner were almost killed due to motor trimming all the way out of the water while running. That rocking from forward to reverse puts stress on the trim wire and has the potential to break them. Hope you get it fixed so you dont go on a wild ride like I did!
