How fast are you getting her and how many seconds to get on plane?  I have a HO G2 on my 2017 Caracal.

I know some will still not be excited about this new motor but it will be interesting to hear how it performed.

For sure. the Caracal is functional boat and a great team boat. I believe it is a good beginning boat and, if, I fished full time then I will get another type and focus more on the angler. Currently, I have four Interstate 29 AGM batteries and planning to put the Optimas lithium due to weight. I heard it will run better w/ weight in the back? I also got the fuel tank under the seats to help w/ weight for speed optimization and the other tank port side. I am doing 68.5 w/ four blade Rx and 72 w/ my three blade Raker. I thought I would be going faster; and yes, on plane <3 sec., I have gotten on plane as shallow as 1.3 ft as well. Caracal is a heavy boat and I favor the draft and wide deck. Thanks for sharing. Sincerely,

    1. Thanks for the quick reply. I feel by having a lighter boat performance will only enhance. My AGM batteries do take a while to fully recharge and no issues w/ my Interstates.

    2. On another subject, I believe you have a Evinrude HO, then you must have either a Raker prop or Rx, now-are you opening the vents all the way. I currently have mine opened to a quarter and performance is good. I will continue to open them up until optimized.

I looked back on your initial post when you got her new, yes a 300, what a beast. I am going straight to full open vents.

    I really appreciate the reply.

How about weight distribution. I have two tanks one in rear port side and the other under the seats. I do get some chine walking at 68-70 mph when they are full. I am getting better with JP and tilt depending on my weight distribution to help keep boat steady. Lighter load can enhance this obstacle? Thank you for the reply.
