I bought a 1976 basscat trihull 3 years ago and have been restoring and customizing it since then. How can I find out which model it is. According to the list I found last week on the site there were 2 models listed for that year. I love the boat even tho it is heavy as he–. I also want to change the livewell system to a different system that will pump water in and out instead of just repumping the water from inside the well. I want to keep this boat but want some modern upgrades. This dont eve look like it did 3 years ago. Your help would make me very happy. Hope to here from someone soon.

Hey jiging, The only one I know of that can easily be used for both with out oroblems is a lowrance XOG. It is rated for both. and weather ready for both. I had a IWAY 250, and it did good but wasnt weather proof. I found out the hard way. You can go to lowrance.com and read up on it. I think they run about 300.00 or so. You can find them on e-bay for less if you watch for it. Hope this helps.

Would it hurt to move the ring down further on the bow and plug and seal the hole?
