What you are looking for is called “Conditioning Factor” it has a length/weight ratio based on the local fish health it also varies from state to state and also within some states. Contact a local state fish biologist or federal biologist if you have one. They should have one or put you in the right direction to get one. Some just use the one found in most Fish Hatchery Mgt books. I fished a club once like that and they had one made up for fish from 10″-15″ by 1/4″ increments. If your in North Arkansas I can email or fax you one. Dewayne French
Mine turned out to be a stupid mistake I wasnt going to say that, but I guess I will. After I bought this boat I had a hot foot installed with a new accelerator cable and the original accelerator cable was left in the boat still attached to Merc forward/reverse lever. Over time that extra cable got stuck under the gas tank and when it went into forward this time, the end got stuck under the gas tank and wouldnt let the forward /reverse lever come back. The original cable end still goes out like normal when you leave it this way. After the mechanic found it he took the cable out from under the tank and zip tied it to the top so it doesnt happen again. When I sell a boat it seems like it is 50/50 on how people like the hot foot or not. So if they dont all they have to do is have it hooked back up and take the hot foot out. This time I forgot to have them wire it up out of the way or they just forgot to (3yrs ago). So if he has had this done he my want to check that out??
Normal power pool is 552.00 and the 5yr avg is 548.30 with last year coming in at 553.80
yes it is, lots of bites but no hooksets.
Been there dont that!! I would have Gray @ Basscat just look at it. He is the best Fiberglass man around (my opinion). I know they are busy with the O.I. but if you got a few min to run it by he will shot straight with you. He is just like the rest of them out there you get true coustmer service not just talk.
You can check mine out 2005 cougar FTD located in north Arkansas I have more pics. I have dropped the price a little but cant go much more. If you know what I mean I price them about as low as I can I hate to talk price to much. Never been any good at it always come out on the losing end. If interested we will take her out you wont be sorry. Thanks
Yes title is clear give me an email address and Ill shoot you a couple
I will fish the Opens next year (got in the other day) tough crowd I know, but someday you got to take that step!! I dont like the classic cut from the top 3 to 2, oh well. I did like the Central Pro-Am Circut when they were a true 2 day tournament, but with changed over to a (1 day pro-am and 1 day buddy) last year I lost all hope. I will fish the Cystic and possibly some of the Mo Weekend series as long as the money holds out.
I planned on backing it off to around 4800 (happy med) and I dont have the smartcrafts on this one (did on my 05). Anyway thanks abunch for the help.
Speedcraw I have a 09 PII with 200 OPTI no pics on the net. I will try to get pics for you but Im out of town at this time. I have toyed with the idea of selling for the right price. It is kept under a cover under a carport wiped down after every trip has motorguide tm, humminbird electrontics, low hours, professional maintained (by a shop), no stains or rips great to excellent condition. If intrested email me at ] I fish the central OPENS so it has been to Amistad, RedRiver, and Texoma last year with no problems it has even been to Morgan City fall of 09. It had the 5 yr warranty plan when I bought it.
As Basscat and tswanson mentioned (capacity and O2) are major concerns, to much of one hurts the other. First thing I would suggest is DONT use city water, it has clorine in it. Use well/lake water and run the areator/pump a little first to buildup O2 in the tank. If you have to use city water you have to remove the clorine with a chemical and let the pump run a bit after this is done. Dont use the bigger is better mentality on the pump. All you want is to pull water from near to the bottom and expel it above the water line so it will inject O2 back into the water (to hard or fast = problems). To fast putting water back into the tank and the minnows stress out from to much energy used to fight the water current. To hard water enters back into the tank and foam will start to build up on the waters surface and water chemistry problems occur. Also dont keep this tank in direct sun as water will heat up and cause these problems to multiply at a faster rate. A shaded area with modrate water flow, a spary bar and a tank would be great for holding minnows a short time, but dont feed them much because not filtering the water and thats a whole other issue. My dad keeps extra minnows between trips in his well house in a large cooler with a small 110 volt air pump with no problems! The problems happen when people try to hold to many (capacity) or try to hold them to long in the same water (amminoa buildup). Hope this wasnt to long I would be happy to take some some of them extra specks off your hands if you have to many to cook

Now those are some cool pictures. To confuse the matter even more these 2 spp, Ozark Bass (Ambloplites constellatus) and the Rock Bass (Ambloplites rupestris) have another similar species called the Shadow Bass (Ambloplities ariommus). They are all in the Centrarchidae Sunfishes family. The Rock bass actually was found in the Neosho river drainage of Southwestern Missouri and is found mostly in the northwest corner of Arkansas. The Shadow and Ozark are more numerous with the Shadow Bass having a almost statewide distribution. The Ozark Bass belonging mostly in the White River Drainage. Technically there are many differences but Google and the Internet should help with most of it. I have caught all 3 species in north Arkansas and they all are very fun when wading the cool streams (lakes) of Arkansas. When you get into Scale Rows, Anal fins, Ratios of Body Depth to Standard Length and it can get way out there and boring. The most eye catching is the Color Blotching Pattern of the (Shadow) vs the Irregular Spotting (Ozark).
And just like other sunfish species they do hybirdize (cross ) alot!!!!
