BCB, Thanks for the reply. Yeah old boat I know Its unfortunate that I just rebuilt most everything in the boat as well as replaced the motor recently. I assumed this is fairly new procedure to detect problems with rot/moisture as not many people have heard much about it. I appreciate you thoughts and previous info. We will see how it goes. Ill re-post after I see what transpires.

JL, I guess that is something I have on my side. My agent is not only a Bass man but also a Bass Cat owner. So hes got to be a good guy right? Kinda cool I thought. Dont worry hes going to earn his money with me. Thanks again, J..

OT57 & JW, Thanks for the input. I wondered the same thing about the heat, the way I understand is that they will heat a section of the boat then shoot it with the IR and then I would assume look for hot/cold spots. And from what I have been told this IR system is designed just for these inspections and this outfit owns the only one in the State and he does these inspections in a 5 state area. This is supposed to go down Monday so check back and I will let you know what I think after that. I appreciate the info you can bet Ill be there asking questions. Thanks, J..

Yeah big decisions coming your way I know how you feel. I am looking at two options 1) Im looking at an 02 Pantera and I might just put my motor on it. or 2) Im thinking about selling what I have and just get in a newer 03 or 04 Cougar. But if you are interested I may have an 04 Merc 200 EFI 3.0L for sale in the coming days or weeks. Which I must admit is a VERY strong motor it moved my 90 P2 at about 73GPS @ 5600 with a hole shot that was unreal. Thats what is sad to me I will miss the days of blowing the doors off all of these new 225s with my lil old Kitty. I am in Springfield, MO and my email is jdcarterrsc@hotmail.com if you have some intrest let me know. I exploring all my options. Best of Luck to you! Thanks, J..

Busa, That is a great idea! Im sure BCB is always looking for new and improved marketing ideas. What a better way than getting national attention and maybe even a prime time spot on one of the major neworks? BCB im here just let me know when you ready go get “pimpn”. But I think we should call it “Pimp my Ship”(TM) OK…OK… A little bit of a pipe dream maybe but a guy can dream right! Busa thanks for the laugh. Good Luck in your adventures and let me know if I can help. J..

Ok Thanks guys. I was just a little concerned about the computer showing 3.9 hours running in guardian. They told me that it would adjust the timing and run too lean? I was worried if that is the case I would wash a cylinder eventually. It gains/loosed top end HP that you could only feel if you were running the boat. Some trips it just will not turn up above 5100 mainly on the first trip out. It just has not been right I will have them keep looking. Thanks Guys I really appreciate the info, J..

I should know more today but I really appreciate you guys piping in. My motor was just put on this boat in January this year it was on a 90 PII before and I was turning about 5600 on that rig (with the same prop) I was just waiting on better water temp to prop it out and set it up. So yes process of emlimination will be in order. “patience young skywalker” As far as the plugs go I pulled them last week and took a look and they all look good. I replaced them last year and they have about 100 hours on them. BTW I agree there is something prob shorting in and out I just hope we can find it sooner than later. I just wish I understood all of the time shown in Guardian. We will reset the codes and see if/when that come back.

This is on my 06 Classic, I know this is not exactly what you are thinking of but it worked very, very well for me. Thought you might want to consider. I was not interested in SI trans on the trolling motor at the time but now with the new software and enthernet option I will probably add SI on the bow on my next one and just use the same SI transducer in the back. Yeah I know I cant see my speedo but……Good Luck!J..
