Is this boat still for sale? Can you please send me information regarding hours on motor and if there is any extended warranty on it or available for purchase from Mercury. Thanks.Jack
Tim,Please send me some Pictures and any other details. ThanksJack
JIGFISH1I have a 2006 Puma/w 225 Merc Pro XS. I had a blade on my 26 Trophy Plus crack about halfway up on one of the ears, did not hit anything. Prop had less than 50 hours on it. I was lucky to catch it before it left me limping back to the ramp. I do not want to step on anyones toes here, but I am not convinced this is as much a trim issue as it is a problem with manufacturing at Mercury Props. I know I am the new guy on the block, but I am not he only one to experience this. We cant all be that screwed up on boat trim, can we? With that said Mercury did the right thing after some conversation and replaced it at no cost. I am still looking for a spare prop because I have a feeling this may not be the end of the cracked ears on the trophy plus prop. Good Luck.Jack
Gabe,Thanks for the info but I would never consider using anything but a Mercury Prop on my Pro XS. I am still mulling over a 27 Trophy or a 26/27 tempest but just not sure what direction I want to go. Thanks BCB for you input as well, no worries I would only use the manufactors recommend prop on my rig. Jack
BCB, Any chance of ever going back to the old Black long sleeve T-Shirt or making it available again. Really liked the old one with the BCB stuff on it and down the sleeve. The new one is nice but kind of plain. Thanks Jack
Basschaser, I will try to condense this, I have a 2006 Puma DC 225 XS with a 26 Trophy Plus. This is the second 26 Trophy for me (first one cracked an blade) and it seems to be about 2/3 MPH slower than the first, both props new not reworked. First Trophy I ran 73 GPS no problem at all, half fuel load 2 people. The one I am currently running will only go 71 GPS small fuel load 1 person and its a struggle to get it there. I also have a 26 Tempest Plus and am right at the rev limiter and only running around 68 GPS. I was going to try a 27 Tempest to see if I could recover the lost MPH and stay below the rev limiter and pick up some MPH. I am not as concerned about loading as this is a very small part of the day and if you get the trailer deep enough it goes right on no problem. Just trying to get back my lost MPH, its an ego thing you know. Thanks for your advice and time. Jack
Dbasketman, Phil, Thanks for the info on the prop shop. I will contact him and see if he can work this for me. Just would like to get back that lost MPH. Jack
Dbasketman, Would like to meet you in person, Basschaser said your one of the good guys. Unless I change my mind and fish this Saturday with the Little Rock AFB Bass Club, we will see you over with the H2O Sportz crowd at the boat show. Just watching the temps for the weekend. Jack
Ron, Congrats on the win at Hamilton. Definately going to stop by and see you guys. Been a while since I have seen Bubba (Landon) as well. Wanted to fish with the LRAFB Club Saturday but I still have the memory of the 18 degree day from last year. A little cold for my blood. See you tonight for the Sherwood BC meeting. Jack
Terp, If interested I have a 26 Tempest plus, ran only 4 times, a 9 out of 10 I would be willing to swap for a 26 Trophy in the same condition. I would even consider selling the Tempest as well as I am looking for another 26P Trophy. I have a 2006 Puma with 225 Pro XS and just like the trophy better for my rig. I want to have an extra prop just in case. Thanks Jack
Dkees, I had the same problem with the snap because we were stepping on the strap. After a couple of time I changed this out with a strap same width with a snap buckle instead, like the ones used on the straps of the boat cover. Found a new one at Walmart for $2.00 in the camping section changed it out and not had a problem since. Jack
BCB, I had posted this on the Props Board and Owners board but now all have have ended up on the Props board times 3. Is someone able to move this from area to area? I tried to delete the other two repeats but cannot. Just checking, Thanks Jack
Doug, I am sending pictures to you tonight. Thanks. Jack
Doug, Pictures are sent please let me know if you did not get them. Thanks Jack
Texasangler, Sorry for the delay in responding to you.. No sir it is not sold yet. I would also consider a trade for a 26P Trophy Plus or a 27P Tempest Plus in similar condition as well. If you need any further information please let me know. Thanks Jack
