I had my MK worked on by an authorized MK and MG service guy. I spent most of the day witth him and he was adminant MK was more reliable and quieter. Ive owned MK so I cant really compare but according to him, he sees many more MGs for repair than MK.
Amen, And you know some times I might seem like a pain but seeing how sincere in making your boats the best they can be makes me want to help if I can.Nothing of this world is perfect, but paying attention to the little things gets us closer. This rod strap thing I would guess is nothing, but if it would be smarter to put it on the other side of the boat than why not.You guys are incredible, and I know you believe your customer’s can help make the boats of the future better.I bet if I had bought another brand I wouldn’t be wasting my breath with such little things because I’d be convinced they wouldn’t care.
If you cant find anyone closer, Big D in Vidor Texas has a brand new 08 they might be able to work something out.
That makes sense Rick, thanks.
Progressive was the best I found. It was around 400 dollars for the year covering complete new replacement for 38K. Ive needed to use it and they got me a check quickly. Its the first time Ive gotten more back from an insurance company than I paid.
Ill tell you, thats why I switched to BCB, I loved my bay boat, but everytime I hit some rough stuff the interior would rattle apart. I was looking at Kenner and almost bought one, but still the compartments and hardware scared me off.As for 3 footers looking like 5 footers, Ive never measured them but the last few times out on Amistad, they seemed like 7 footers — probably 4 footers I guess — lolI was all the way down the lake, about 30 miles I guess, and ran back and I was amazed at how dry the ride was in my P-2–incredible compared to what Ive been use too!And this boat makes that lake seem half the size compared to my last one (112 Johnson on a 19 foot bay boat).

If youre sure about buying, dont missout on the Merc extended warrantee deal thats going on now. Im not sure how long its going, but its a really nice promo.
If you have a swing away take the pin out.
Yeah, but I imagine with that cookie cutter you leave a lot of scraps on the floor. I bet BCBs is light years ahead in efficency and have less rework. Not to mention dramatically lower overhead per unit–Im guessing at least. And how many of those other production workers actually see and talk to the end users of what theyre making, designing (or putting together)?Pride of workmanship is hard to come by these days in the corporate world. Lets hope small operations like BCB can compete for many many years to come.
Dont you ever take a day off BCB?
The Mercs are coming with a 5 year warranty now until April I believe.Something to consider.
Follow BCBs advice. If you over pump it with grease you can screw up the seals — not good!Left my boat on the shoulder of I-35 2 times in the past until someone told me why it was happening. BCB, are you saying just do it every few years? I was told its a good thing to do annually.
I think a couple of pit bulls on long leashes tied to each side of the boat would work best.Isnt it sad the amount of vultures out there. If they spent half as much time working as they did planning crimes, they could buy thier own gear. But if you had pit bulls, youd have to find a platform to climb back on the boat.
Just an idea. If getting stuff stolen is common parking at motels, why dont these motels provide a security guy to watch the parking lots. Im sure you guys would be more than happy to pay, lets say, 5 dollars a day for a security guy.Maybe its something to bring up to the owners of these motels who depend on fisherman to stay in business.
