the boat is a 1994………yes the motor is fully trimmed.  the boat sits in the water fine, not too much weight.  highly doubt any wood is soaked since the boat does not stay in the water and was garage kept when not in use. it has done this since the b.i.l.  bought it.  when the boat does plane out, you’re hauling ass.  tried to adjust the height of the motor but even the local boat shop couldn’t loosen the bolts on the jack plates.

i’m just learning as i go here so please bear with me, never had a boat but i’m trying to help my cousin out since he takes me fishing sometimes.  lol   i don’t know what the pitch of the prop is but i do know it needs to be replaced.  the b.i.l. ran over something and bent the edges of the prop. just found this out.  as far as hull to prop distance, there is a formula for that right?  like 10% of the distance .    so if it’s 23 inches then at 10% it should be 2.3 ….correct?

well i’m having a hard time finding any predator props, apparently they are discontinued and the other 2 you mentioned are not cheap.  lol  do you happen to know the pitch of the original props?

i got a chance to go look at the motor and prop tonight.  from what found, it’s a stiletto E800319….. 14.25 with a 19 pitch.  now the guy from bass cat that replied earlier said something about predator pp props, 23″ or 24″.  is that the circumference of the prop or the pitch?

i’d like to thank everyone for the information you provided. between that and reading what i could find………there is a ton of stuff to know when trying to choose the right prop and pitch.

going fast doesn’t bother me or my cousin………..what bothers us is that the boat would damn near stand on the rear end for quite a bit before settling out on plane at full throttle.   anything less than full throttle and the boat would stay standing on end.

it’s been quite a while since i’ve been on here, so just a quick update.  he bought a turning point hustler 14.25 x 23 three blade prop.  that seems to be the fix on the bow rising. unfortunately he found out the prop shaft is bent.  but thanks again for any info provided.
