http://www.bassboatcentral.com/boats4sale.htmAbout 70% down on the provided link there is a good looking 98 Pantera classic w/ a 2000 Merc 200 EFI. Price is listed at 14k, but looks like it was listed at end of January, so guy may unload it for 12k or less. In Pocahontas, AR. There are also some other cats on there if you cant find one on this board. Hope this helps.-Lee ReddmannHope it is not taboo to pimp another site on here.

Logan Martin, how you like your Sabre FTD. Think I am going to order one this winter. Have been torn b/w classic and sabre ftd, but think I have finally decided to go with the sabre ftd. The deck on the front of that thing is awesome. What is it that you like and dont like about the sabre ftd. Some one made a good point on another board I was watching, it has not been that long ago when all pros were running 150s. I wont be running huge water, so I think this will make it even necessary for the classic. One question I do have is I thought tandem trailers were standard with the Sabre FTD, but looking at MikeNs on another board, it appeared as he only had a single axle trailer. Thanks.-Lee

Thanks for your reply to my post Milt. I have 30k as a budget for my boat, by the time I get a classic with the extras the sabre ftd offers, i am sure I would be above the 30k mark easy. Plus, the deck of the sabre ftd is really nice. I dont tournment fish at the moment and thought about going used, but I am first time bass boat buyer and a buddy of mine bought a used boat not too long ago (earlier this summer) and he has had to replace batteries, trolling motor and had to have some minor repair work to the motor. This makes me a little nervous about buying used. I dont think I will put a ton of hours on the boat, but when I use it, it will nice to know that everything will be in working order (knock on wood). Didnt mean to distract for your original post, just wanted you to know I appreciate your input.-Lee

If you are talking about Swepco in NW Arkansas it is a great fishery in the winter. I have fished it before when I was in college years ago and the water would be way above freezing and actually be 20 degress outside and have ice form around your rod eyes and still catch some decent fish.

I wanted to buy new, but there are some things that are out of my control right now and I may be forced to buy slightly used. Thank you for clearing this up. You guys are great, keep doing what your doing. -Lee

Thanks Doug. Been tire kicking for a while and trying to get a pulse on the market and think I may be ready to pull the trigger with in next 6-8 weeks. When (not if) I get a rig, probably need you to show me how to drive it correctly. I will be a first time boat owner (bass boat anyway) so I am sure I will be hitting you Central Ark guys for help. -Lee

Everything is set to go down tomorrow. I am sure I will sound like an academy award winner once I get my hands on it. I will post something prob thursday morning giving a few shouts out to the likes of Scott McGee, Judd, Doug, Ken Adamson, Allen McIntosh, Basscat and so on. So many people have been very helpful. I am buying the boat from Allen McIntosh in Madison (Jackson) MS. It is a sweet boat and it is an 07 classic in the color of the boat up top here. He is very loyal to cat, just no need for a boat that size anymore. Anyway is the hamby hard to install?

Classic wont go in a 8 wide hole, you are correct D. I have 10 foot opening on two storage places I am looking at tomorrow and a buddy of mine has a rent house with a shop out back that I am looking at tonight. Storage be high! Thanks all.

Ward- I feel your pain, looking a place in maumelle with 12×30 (10) door and a place in otter creek 10×30, woman claims the door is shade less than 10 foot. Going to look at both today and see which will be easier to put in. No electricity at either! DU-OH! -Lee
