Im running a trophy on my 2015 puma ftd with 250 sho . . Im running a 27 pitch . I feel my hole shot is very good compared to the Mercury 250 pro xs I came out of . Loaded with two guys ,gear and fuel its under 4 seconds and I dont need all the throttle . Im running 2 solid plugs one large hole plug and one small hole plug with no prop slip on break over . Bow does not rise very high . Mid range with trim but no rooster tail the boat is out of the water . Handle s big water very well . Top end is very strong at 5980 Rpms she runs 81 to 82 by my self in the boat loaded with Gear and fuel . With two guys I have not seen it yet not run at least 80 . The trophy on the sho will put the boat in the front seat of your truck if your not careful not kidding . My prop has been balanced and blue printed . If you have a 200 sho I would go with a 25 pitch . But I would see if you could borrow one first . Trophy s and tempest need to be worked by a GOOD prop guy to get the best they have to offer . If your not interested in top end the fury 4 would be good to with .

Hi Gary . I plan on being there next year . Work took a president this year for the Kentucky lake tournament . I was not happy about all that . Glad to see the tournament is on Saturday and Sunday this time . Looking forward in seeing your new Caracal . I just bought a new 2015 puma from legacy . It was a left over from last year . Chris gave me a good trade in on mine and great price on the puma.

This is what I as told by a Yamaha tech . The synthetic oils will thin out on long runs and in the heat of summer . Then your oil pressure will drop . Low oil pressure will cause engine damage . You run what you want but Im running what the Yamaha s mechanics say that are trained by Yamaha are telling me . Plus no matter what your changing the oil either once a year or every 100 hrs . My last oil change cost me 58$ with filter and 10 w 30 w . With synthetic It will cost you more .

I bought a new puma in September this year . I went with Humibirds new Helix models and Im VERY happy with them . I went with a helix 10 on the dash and a helix 9 on the bow . At the dash I mounted the graph on a precision electronics mount I wanted it up a little higher plus i didnt want a big hole cut in the dash . At the bow I mounted the graph on a large ram mount . Everything install was under 3000$ . The only thing that is a bummer is you have to buy two map cards one for each unit . Everything else is linked . The helix 9 and up will work with your troller if you go that route .

Im running a puma same set up . 8-10 10 top end with my three blade . I have never ran mine that low either . I just went out to the shop to confirm my set up . At setting 5 Im at 3″ below pad . At 8 Im at 2.25 to 2″ at 10 Im at 1.5 plus or minus an 1/8″ . At a setting of 3 your like 3.5 to 4″ below pad . If your running a Yamaha prop thats to deep . Thats like fury prop deep .
