They dropped 1st place to $50,000 total. But this year each pool gets a $10,000 prize for overall.
Appreciate all the responses, but feel let down for not getting an answer because of other dishonesty. Completely understand the thought process of not doing it. I can see why basscat would not want to give other brands any ammo against them. But the truth always omes out in the end. If there was some sort of disclosure stating that the draft is from “x” point to “y” point with full tanks, boat “as is” from factory, is just something that would help some people. This company is the pinnacle of what excellence is. And ive read some of the other manufactures that is not even close to being right. But one other manufacture I am intersted in with this company is real close to being accurate. But as I stated, I greatly appreciate all the responses.
Seen the same issue on a 2005 OX66 200. Buddy took it back to the dealer 3 times. It checks fine with water muffs on it. Even had new pump installed. Come to find out, on the water pickup side on the right hand side looking from the back was plugged with factory blockoff plate. Cannot see it until you remove the grate plate and see that is blocked off. The motor would have decent pressure until turning right and then it would have 0 pressure. If it is this, call the dealer and have a yamaha rep come see it. He ended up with a lifetime warranty on the motor because of it, if he would keep it.
It is called ferral resinance. As stated a couple of replies up, a different metal makeup put between the transducer and the housing should cancel out the RF noise. The noise is coming from the magnetic field put off by the armature in the motor. We deal with this alot in the electric industry. It depends on the application of how we counteract it. Lightening arrestors on some applications and even something as simple as penatrux inhibitor can stop this. If the the metal doesnt stop it, find someone that works for an electric company and ask for some of this inhibitor and place it on the metal between the transducer also. Watch out for this because is a messy substance. Maybe this will help. Another product to stop it, is add a capacitor parallel on the positive side. A capacitor acts as a noise filter and will remove any unwanted noise on the DC circuit. Just skin back the wire in two places that are same length as the athode and cathode ends of the capacitor. Wrap the legs of the capacitor around each part of the bare wire and solder it. This will remove any noise if it is in the power supply.
Clamping a ground to the housing could cause bad problems. If the paint wears off, and the armature in the motor starts to get corrison or dirt across an armature field. The ground on the housing will cause a major short in the trolling motor frying it severly.
We all are praying for him. I have had the pleasure of fishing with his dad, brother and him in a few tournaments. He needs all the prayers we can give.
A trick of the trade. Get a stirofoam cup, place about a fourth of the cup with baking soda and fill up with water. Remove one wire at a time on the terminal block and swish in the water. The baking soda mix will stop all the corrison migrating up in the wire under the insulation. And this will stop any voltage drop caused by the corrison. And all the corrison can be removed by wiping with a paper towel after induced into the baking soda mixture.
x2 on the Suffix. Have some that is going on 4 years now. Spool it onto old reels when not in use. And when frog season and heavy cover fishing gets here. i respool back onto my primary reels. This braid is extremely soft once it gets some wear on it.
They are thick on the mississippi river from tunica south. There have been quite a few black eyes and broken noises over the past few years. Am not saying it is or isnt fun, but have heard rumor that trap shooting flying fish is something that needs to be experienced.
I actually fish out of the Helena and mellwood area. During duck season out of the habor in the shallow water they were floating a lot of them. Was ever so glad to see them dead
Was told by a BFL director that we are not to fizz the fish. That in their studies on fizzing the fish, is that they sink to the bottom afterwards and not able to move. They lower the fish under a weighted laundry basket until the bubbles release and the fish swim off on their on.
When you going to be back fishing Mellwood? I got the same boat with a single power pole that you can drive and see.
Fish biting? I am headed that way here in about 3 hours for last season duck hunting. May bring my rig and fish mellwood.
Ward…Hope you did better in the Mr Bass than I did. Spent the whole week down there with the family and caught a lot of good fish all the way up til saturday.
