Well I know this is a down graded livewell and I have seen several people choose the P2 instead and one of the reasons were the livewell. I think part of the reason is because it does not have the spray bar like the other models which doesnt bother me because I dont have it now. The thing that concerns me is that it sounds like there is only one pump working the whole system and the drain goes into the bilge.

Yes I believe my current Ranger which is a 1996 uses 2 – 500GPH pumps for the livewell and it does not have pump out so that would be nice to have. It is good to know that the pump is a 1000gph.

Is the Motor a 2008? Are the hours on the original power head?

Could I please get more pictures sent to me at [email protected].  Where are you located?  Was a compression test done on the motor?

Based on what I found on this site through searches in 2008 the hull was updated. Then it was updated again in 2009. In 2011 it looks like the consoles were updated. In 2012 the hull was updated again. My main question is were the changes made in 2009 so drastic for speed and handling that I should scratch the 2008 model year from my search? I am not too concerned with looks as I think they all look good.

HunterJordan99. I believe you bought the boat I was looking at but I hadn’t sold my old boat yet so I couldn’t pull the trigger.. That is a sweet boat. Thanks for the feedback

I bought a 2009 Basscat Puma about a month ago and noticed my swing tongue had some slop in it when the strap was loose.  The pictures show the gap when the strap is loose.  Is this normal or is it something that needs to be looked at?
