RJ,I dumbied when I first tried to swing the tongue on my trailer, but I wiser beer drinking friend pointed out that I must first release the pressure from the winch strap. I dont know if that is your case or not, but I overlooked it. As for the steps: 1. Release the winch strap pressure. 2. Remove pin clips. 3. Pull the pins. 4. Make sure you have everything out of the way around the tongue, then swing. If memory serves me right I may of had to tap the pins from the bottom with a rubber mallet the very first time, but have not had to since.

jigfish1,I just slung a blade last weeked. Didnt it anything and it broke from the trailing edge to the leading edge. When I talked to the dealer who sold it to me he said with a Trophy Plus you can count on 2 things: 1. Great Performance and 2. slinging a blade. I was lucky enough that mine is under warranty and Mercury is covering it. It was a 26P with a blowout ring and all 4 holes plugged. It is the first time slinging a blade for me.Phil WilliamsBay Minette, AL

Thank-you oldtimer for the input. I have found that the 25P doesnt allow me to hit the rev limiter like the 25P Trophy. I was also running a 26P Trophy, and it would not hit the rev limiter, and it ran faster with tourney load, about 70, maybe 71, down current. But this 25P runs at about 5510 rpm and I am running around 68, give or take a few tenths either way. And I feel that I have a little better hole shot, but the big thing for me is the fact that the dealer had never had a blade break unlike the Trophy. They seem so much thicker. Thanks again for your input.Phil WilliamsBay Minette, AL

City launch at Gadsden was tough on Mon. Couldnt back down to far, if you did it would fall off. Went back Tuesday to fish again, couldnt launch. The river fell about 18″ over night according to the “crew” in the little building. They say that they are going to fix the end of the ramp next week in time for the State Championship the following week. As for Lay it is down about a foot right now, maybe more I am not sure. According to the guy a Paradise Point, with the next draw down, it may put him out of business. He was not very happy yesterday morning. We noticed the level had fallen about 6″ when we launched this morning. On the bright side it is raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock right now. According to the new Childersburg just got 1.25″ this evening, with more forecasted. I am sure that everyone is happy, including the farmers.Phil WilliamsBay Minette, AL

The Florida-Ole Miss game is a constant reminder that these are young men between the ages of 18-23, and that you cannot coach emotion, and will. It is like the old cliche “Any given Sat.” Now, with that said, as a Bama fan, I was disappointed in the outcome for my team, but the final play that secured the victory for Ga, was a perfect play. The coverage was tight, and the defensive back was in position, just a perfectly thrown football by Stafford. Good job. The Saban era has begun by changing the attitude of the team. It appears that they now, expect to have success, instead of hoping for it. As for the few who think that any team can go through the SEC undefeated I have a few words for you…please step away from the crack pipe. ROLL TIDE ROLLPhil WilliamsBay Minette, AL

Very easy to do. Just be sure to count the threads or measure the distance the latch arm is up or down the shaft to prevent you from alot of adjusting, and re-adjusting. Also, from experience, be sure to remember the direction of the handle and which way the latch arm is pointing when you take it out, doesnt screw anything up, just makes you swear when you have to undo the arm and spin it around after you install it. Now for my 2 cents, I am an energy conservationist, I like to conserve my own energy when fishing, I prefer the old Perko latches as apposed to the new owns. The new chrome latches available from BassCat do not fold like the old ones. Meaning this, with the plastic and the older chrome latches you can unlock and unlatch and fold the handle back down when you are done without having to turn it and latch it. The new latches have to be latched everytime you close the lid if you want them to sit flush while you are fishing and walking around on your deck . You must latch the compartment, or else they stick up and your partner breaks the dang thing, or you step on it bruise your barefoot, either way bad words that you wouldnt say around any lady start flying. If you want to see one before buying let me know I have a box of new ones that I put in and took back out before finding the old chrome Perko latch and I will send 1 to you. With the bad about the latch, I must tell the good. The new latch by design will not let water into your compartment because the lock is in the handle and not in the body, so water cannot get in. I am down here harassing all the Auburn fans I can, and occasionally wetting a hook. I have also been eating all the Boston Butt I can find and washing it down with an adult beverage of choice. Basically putting on my winter coat, that I havent taken off for the last 10 years. In watching the board, I see that you have been doing as good as I have been with this wonderful season that we are having!!!ROLL TIDE. I really dont want to jinx the season, because as a die hard Bama fan you know that we could lose to Marys School for the Blind, or Leroy High at anytime. RAMMER JAMMER!! Well Phil, I would agree that we should be worried about our performance, 3 turnovers in the 1st half, a missed FG , and an under acheiving rush defense for the day, and we trailed for the longest amount of time all year 13 minutes, previously 1:15. I could see how I should worry about our performance. As for Florida, the second best offense in the country next to Texas Tech, we cant put our eye on that prize until we beat MSU and then we have to beat Auburn. And though it appears that Marys School for the Blind could beat Auburn, the one thing that we Bama fans know is that you cant coach emotion. But like it or not we are undefeated and continue to win as ugly as possible against some pretty good teams. And now for my favorite part of the game…Hey Tigers, we just beat the hell outa you, RAMMER JAMMER YELLA HAMMER GIVEM HELL ALABAMA. ROLL TIDE Your Bama Buddy, Phil Williams Bay Minette, AL

Mrs Saban in Houndstooth, the only thing that comes to my mind about a Houndstooth outfit is the “Twins”. Tideman you know the ones, but if Mrs Coach is that hot, wow…call the Fire Department!!!!! And please Tideman no talk about the potential outcome of winning out, that is a jinx that we dont need at this point, ya know what I mean. And a Roll Tide Roll to you my friend!!! Roll Tide Roll… Well if we had listened to ALL the other experts out there, we would have quit before the Georgia game, but we see how that worked out. Now, I am not going to sit here and tell you that I think we are going to beat the Gators they way they are beating people, because we arent built that way. But I will say this, Tebow will not run off center against us like he has everyone else because of one Mount Cody who Eli said showed up to practice a biscuit under 400lb, and they better be ready to hit. We are slow, strong, and steady, and in my “expert” opinion that is just enough to win. Hey TIDEMAN…ROLL TIDE ROLL Baby Phil Williams Bay Minette, AL

GAME DAY, Fixin to dress up for the game, Alabama attire (boxers, t-shirt, shorts, slippers, hat) and my favorite throw. I have removed all “hard” objects from the immediate area of my recliner, and I am thinking about getting a keg, instead of cans or bottles, only because they are cheaper than big screen tvs these days. Phone will be turned off at approx. 230 pm, crime scene tape will be strung around my driveway as to divert any outsiders(non BAMA fans) from entering, and Eli Gold(the voice of the Crimson Tide) will be on 92.1. TIDEMAN, Bama96, and all my fellow Tide fans, ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until after the game, see ya Phil Williams

Boy oh boy you sure are tough there Mr. Addison. I am glad that you had an enjoyable day courtesy of the Crimson Tide. The boys played a tough game and personally other than a few plays, a very sound game. Although the outcome was not even close to being the way I wanted it to go, the SEC will be represented well with the Florida Gators in the National Championship game against Oklahoma. And yes you are correct, you do have 2 dinners coming at the expense of unclebigred, but you are going to have to slum a little while at the OI to receive payment. TIDEMAN, Bama96, and all the other Bama fans, ROLL TIDE!!! Phil Williams
