Awesome!! Im looking at three different boats – Cougar Adv, Cougar FTD, and a Puma. Its good to know that the only difference is on top. Thanks for your help.
This is good to hear. The thing that I cant get past is the eventual sale of the boat. I live in Ranger and Nitro country and people I talk to about Bass Cat always say the words FTD and Pantera. Id hate to buy the Cougar AE and be stuck with it or not get the kind of money I would like for it someday. Its a total mind game with me right now, and Im sure I would be totally happy with the AE model. It might come down to what mama says since theres about a $9000 difference between the AE and the FTD Im looking at. Thanks for the replies!!
Thats good news. Thanks for the inside scoop!!
Check this video out of a Jaguar on some lake in Japan. He is flat out getting it, and there is no “sneezing”. It gives you a pretty good idea of what the ride will like.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=81UF5Iw6xGY
It looks like this boat has been for sale for a while. Are people looking at it and not liking the price or color scheme, or is no one looking? I find it hard to believe it hasnt sold yet too.
Passing your CCNA is something I never thought Id see on this forum. Ive been a network engineer for 25 years with the same company and i was told that I need to pass my CCNA this year and CCNP next year by my management. The funny thing is that I have new guys working in my group that have passed CCIE written our have their CCNP certs and they cant design or fix anything by themselves. Ive taken some of the testing software tests and I fail them every time because of the way they ask the questions. I guess Ill just take a week off(on the company) to study my butt off with no work distractions. Im in the process of buying my first BassCat as we speak, and once I get it, half of my work brain cells will be put to sleep while I am in fish mode so well see wat happens.
Sent you an email
Could I get a “replacement” swing tongue that has the grap post and steps? I think i would rather have the “factory” look rather than a bolt on thing.
I was getting ready to ask this very question. I have a Puma FTD with a 250 Pro XS running a 26p Fury with a hydraulic plate. I had a high five on my old XR4 and XR6 on other boats and loved it. What pitch High Five should I use for the rough stuff? Should I step down to a 25p or stay with a 26p? Thanks!
Another Cat on the Potomac! Welcome!!
Jamey, I got a cool jacket and hat from BassCat. Thanks.
When its your job youre talking about its a lot different than your personal life. How many people got pissed when their favorite NASCAR driver went to drive for another manufacturer, or your favorite football player went to a rival team? For the rest of us who arent fortunate enough to fish for a living, we need to think long and hard about what we buy. When we have to pay for these things and have to keep them for more than one year, a boat company like BassCat that is there for everyday little guy is super important.
Ah, this sounds familiar. When I was 41, my wife was getting the first ultra sound and I said thank God theres only one. The tech said oh no the other one is right here. What a shock that was. The amazing thing is now that Im 48, I dont feel that old. The young kids keep you feeling young. The bad part is I”ll probably have to work until Im 80. Its really cool that you are getting a new fishing buddy after losing your dad. Too many people dont believe that God is looking out for us. Congrats!
This is my first Christmas as part of the family. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and tries to remember the reason we celebrate this special day. Heres hoping the new year will be filled with big limits in our livewells and sub $3.00 gas.
