Detwilers are standard plates as well as Bobs on Bass Cat Boats. Therefore, the consumer has a choice between the two. Both are good plates and and both have been at the top for many years. I choose Detwiler and have ran Detwiler plates for a number of years now. If you have specific questions about a Detwiler and Bobs plates feel free to ask.

I ran the Detwiler last year and the Bobs this year. Both are good plates and never had an issue with either one. The Bobs is faster (almost to fast at times you really have to keep an eye on it) but the gauge is 10x better. I think the Detwiler appears to be a little more sturdier if you were to hit something but I dont know that by experience. Just speculation though. Judd Lasiter

No. All boats except the Puma FTD, Cougar FTD, and Cougar Advantage Elite have belly tanks. Those with belly tanks (under the seat) can have optional tanks added at the rear.

Mercury no longer makes a 2-stroke 25 HP motor, only 4-stroke. A Hamby is not an option in my price book for a Phelix nor have I ever seen a Phelix with a Hamby. Ill have to let Bass Cat answer that one for you. Scott, that is what I am thinking about. Have my Cougar listed on Phils site now. Just exploring my options. What do you know about a Phelix?

Probably not enough deel for a hambys, but may could modify a megaware type protector,,,,maybe. No 25hp two strokes, but youll love the four stroke, and the Phelix is a great rig, and can be modified to fit your specs, with a charger, troller, seats, livewell, etc,,,,, good luck, D.

David, I looked at one for my Dad to use on his lake. Its a pretty good rig from what I could see. I dont know about pricing but Eddie can fix you up on that. Its plenty big to fish out of on Caroline.

Again I was going westbound and they were going eastbound. I was just kidding,about the speeding, but the boats were pretty and it looked good.Wish I could have had my camera phone ready! Looked like P4s or Sabre models. Anyway they were pretty sweet looking rides from my vantage point.Last edited by Scott Dominick on February 6th, 2009, 2:43 am, edited 1 time in total.
