Even if you are VERY careful drilling, you still need to plan on breaking at least one bit. Also need to be careful on the front mounting bolt, it gets real close to the brake solenoid (at least it did on my 02). Curt

I got the step and pole ordered Monday. I went to my local dealer (Duncan Marine) Saturday and they had one on a new Puma installed at BCB. I am glad I went because the step as ordered aftermarket does not come with a small intermediate step that welds on the winch stand. I e-mailed [email protected] and they said they could include it if I needed and could get it welded on. This step is essential for me as my old chopped up knees cant transition from the bottom to the top step without it. Thanks BCB and I will send pictures once I get it installed. Mike

It definitely could stain the hull of a white boat. Though it is not likely on occasional usage. The gel coat is pourous and does absord some staining, thus those tea colored hulls in some areas on river and natural systems.

Phillips makes a product called “Purple Stuff” that works pretty good for the scum line thats no too acidic (theyve got a website). “Hull Cleaner” from Walmart works great, but the acid will eat away the gel coat and the “browning” will appear every time you drop your boat in the water. Next Cat you order, get yourself a black bottom and your good to go.

I have a 2000 Cougar w/2000 tandem trailer w/swing away tounge will the step and pole work on my trailer? Should I have my local dealer install or is this something that is fairly 3easy to accomplish as I am an OLD auto mechanic? Thanks, Mike

It is the top line stereo we offer and there is an optional remote. It is not on the standard Sony site and if the link pops up we will post it.

it rocks. cd, mp3, am/fm. didnt think i would like it but the wife insisted. wife is smart. BCB-can i get the remote after the fact or did i have to get it on original order?
