All, B, B and B, Thanks for the feedback and education. I have been out of touch for many years and dont know much so thanks for the help. I have had my 2000 PIII/200 Opti combo for 10 years and she has been nothing but a great boat. Garage kept, she still looks new and the motor has never failed me. I never looked at anything else but I must say that I love the layout of the PIV. It just seems so smart and functional to fish out of. I want to pick this up within the next 30 days after I get back from Asia 10/30. For Verado, I am also trying to prepare for the unknown transition of when lakes start putting rules against 2 strokes. Hole shot, plane at low speeds and mid range control is more important to me. However, I occasionally like the 65mph top end only when I have a long way to go and that the BC is actually a very comfortable ride at this speed. Thank you for the feedback on reliability as I intend on keeping this investment for another 10 or more years One last question for you gurus. Any recommendation on a prop? I use a 24P Trophy on my current 200/opi but dont know if there is a better match for Verado 200. Thank you all for your guidance, 1MC
Dear BCB, Thank you for your response. Can you tell me what seperates advantage Elite from from a regular PIV? I am looking to buy a PIV/200Verado combo by ~ early November because I will be in Asia for almost all of Oct. I am ready right now to put money into a purchase in addition to a trade if it will help get better pricing. However, I dont know of anymore BC dealers are in the central texas area. IE, Austin/Georgetown TX. Last dealership was Northcutt Marine. I will take your advice and also call BC tomorrow for more information. Thank you for your support, 1MC
thanks all, Just spoke to Mercury. Fury 24, Trophy Plus 24will be the list of props to try. Sincerely 1MC
Corky, BCB, thank you very much. I will reach Cliff Brown today. appreciate everyones help sincerely, 1MC
All Thanks you very much. If all things being equal, I also agree to stay w/ what the dealer is comfortable with. Looks like Evinrude 200HP E-Tec HO will be the choice. My Dealer in Harker Heights has had better luck matching the Evinrudes/ w BCB. Service is about 50/50 between Merc/ BRP and both give great support. Design on E-Tech is not as complex which is nice to hear from a service/ support perspective. 3 Star compliant & Light weight (420/430 lbs) is also a plus. will let all of you know how this comes out. On props, I dont know evinrude line like I know the merc. I will look at the 25P 3 raker or a 4 blade renegade/ cyclone. dont know what the best is for hole shot so a one liner would be great. Ill also aske the dealer. Thanks again 1MC
phil, I sent this out before I read your mail. Great feedback. The person I am talking to also let me speak to a mechanic so I appreciate hearing this from you. thank you very much sir
Folks, I am so sorry that I didnt get back on line and upload the pics. the boat sold before I could get the sign on it. Thank you all for taking an interest. Best to all of you, 1MC
Hello FS, HNY! I have pics but cant get them uploaded. Are we supposed to use Photo bucket? Electronics/ Trolling Motor: Lowrance HDS 7 in lake Insight for both star board and bow Smart craft guages w/ the Merc Minn Kota fortrex 103lbs (3 batteries) Colors Cap/ Lightening Bolt Hull Insert/ Trailer Wheel wells – Fire Red Hull/ Cap Insert – White Trim – Slate Boot – Black Logos – Silver
hello sir. how old is the prop and what condition is it in? thx
Hey Puma Guy, wanted to know how ur fury was running. Are you still getting that walk at 68mph? I have the same set up. Puma/ Pro X/S250. Looking at a 26P Fury or a 26P Trophy Plus Any ideas? 1MC
Hey All, I have a similar story that Billius has and also seeking an optimal prop for my Puma 2010 w/ pro X/S. Looking really close at Fury 26P and Trophy Plus 26P. Has anybody compared the both props on either 225 or a 250? thx
I dont know if it peeled from the top. The decal is completely removed and probably at the bottom of the lake. Has the issue been resoleved? Is there any way to get new decals and re-apply? I love that BC decals. Really compliments the look of the boat. How do I clean the left over adhesive material off the hull w/o damaging the gel coat? Thanks,
