I dont think their taking it out of the gas cap, all you have to do is take the fuel line off the motor put a nail in the end pump the ball a few times put the gas can on the ground and fill it up. I sure thats how its being done, they stand back a hundred yards and watch, if someone comes out and sees it they just walk away, if not they pick it up and go. (I am not a theif I have alot of cop friends)

I had the same problem in my 1993 PII, Not a big fan of the control valve, so what I did was got a small boat plug, had to shave some rubber off, and just plug the drain hole in the livewell. Get the PIV, its a great boat.

Vertical jig the tree tops in deep water. So you will be in 60 to 90 feet of water and the tops of the trees will be 30 feet down. Use white jigging spoons. If you take the kids out do the same thing but with live bait(worms)30 feet down on a hook. You can also get small mouth up the lake on rock points (football jig, jig and pig, carolina rig) Good Luck
