I just sold a 06 classic with a 200 optimax and it had a 26 tempst. Just me and a half tank I could get her to 79.8,,no lie! One she gets to walking snap the wheel to calm her down and let her eat.

I just booked a trip with Tommy Law of Outlaw Guide Service for the middle or March. I have never been but I cant wait to tangle with those giants. Have any of you guys fished Falcon in March or has anyone fished with Outlaw guide service?

My first boat was a Pantera Classic and it handled KY lake as well as any BIG boat I fished against. My current rig is a Puma FTD and all I can say is WOW,,the thing rides like a dream. Considering you dont give a hoot about speed, you fish the Great Lakes and if money is not a issue I would buy a new Jag just because its a bigger boat and I have seen how rough it can get up there. But to be honest you really cant go wrong with any of the three in my opinion.

Thanks alot and I have not put the seat time in this boat,,to busy catching fish,,haha. When I first got the boat I thought WTF I can not even get it to Chine walk then I figured out the trim on this boat is much different than my last set up and hitting 74 aint bad with two men fully loaded with 40 gallons ish of fuel not to mention livewells full . I figure this fall I will have plenty of time to tear ass accross the lake with less wave maker traffic and see what I can get out of her and the cooler temps will be a major plus.

Yes I will be visiting a Yahama dealer bright and early tomorrow morning the long waits I hear are weighing on me but what can you do. I certainly dont believe the motor is blown but the gearcase does has issues. When I can get the shifter in neutral the prop will spin free but once in gear it takes Coxs Army to spin the thing. Thanks alot guys and if my guy drags his feet I just may give you a shout.

I dont have either but i can tell you this much my parter has busted two carbon lites in a week and my Dad has a carbon lite that is falling apart not to mention a BPS crankin stick that broke 3 eyes down for no reason. I throw the Bama rig quite often and this Spring I threw it 75% of the time so I know what kind of strain it will put on a rod and I do not believe for a minute the Carbon Lite will make it one day chunking that behemoth of a rig. Im using a 76″ Heavy action Grim Reaper with a Curado and I have not had the first issue with this set up. But thats just my 2 cents worth.Good Luck and happy CHUNKING!!

Cef,I will check into that for sure I had no idea there were other tourneys on the side. How many boats usually show up? I have been told several hundred fish the Norfork tx.Samrush,Im sure it is pretty cool to be there and I may give it a shot next year. I have been visiting the Mountain Home area every year since I have been a kid and I have caught a blue million trout out of the White and Norfork River. I took a guided trip with Bink on Lake Norfork and we did not catch the monster stripes we had wished for but I was interviewed by a local station giving his weekely fishing report,,haha. I could tell real quick that Norfork was really not my cup of tea, but then again it was July and the fish were a mile deep, does that lake ever get any dirty water in the spring??Brad

I fish Lake Barkley almost two weekends a month and several days during the week. Anywhere from the dam to Dover is what I call my home water. What area of the lake do you primarly fish? I do fish KY lake alot as well and the ledge bite has picked up with the steady current flow the past few weeks. Better have 22plus lbs if you wanna take home first place.

That area is in my wheelhouse. You dont have to fish KY lake to get on good ledge fishing, there and tons of mega schools in the area you fish now!
