Thanks for the replies… both are big helps. But, I do have one last question. If the flipping deck covers the area in front of the drivers console, does the flipping compartment do the same? Or, with the compartment does that area remain open. I couldnt quite tell from the pictures on the BC site. Thanks again!!!
Thanks for the replies! I will start by trying the 25p 4 blade Renegade and will lower the motor a bit on the jackplate. I measured today, and while I might have done it inaccurately, it appeared the motor is sitting 4 1/4″ on my jackplate. Since that is a 1″ difference over what fishn4bass said others run, lowering the motor might help. I just dont know if 1″ will make a big difference. My primary interest is getting on plane quickly with somewhat of a load in the boat. Unlike many of the guys who post, Im not looking for top end speed and will not likely push the boat much beyond 50-55 mph. If the Renegade and adjusting motor height doesnt seem to help, then Ill try experimenting with other props like the 25p Shooter. Does anyone have any experience adjusting a Power Lift manual jackplate on the water? Is it difficult to do? Any other suggestions for improving hole shot are appreciated! Thanks!
Thanks all! I will be trying my 25p Renegade this week and experimenting with lowering my motor. In the meantime, I picked up a used 25p Shooter that needs to be reworked, but Im not sure if since both are 25p, there will be much difference. Im not looking for top end, but rather good hole shot. I doubt I will ever open the boat up much over 50-55 mph, so are optimizing RPMs still as important?? BCB, you recommended either a 23p Renegade or 25p Shooter. If my 25p Renegade isnt effective, even after adjusting motor height, do you suggest re-working my Shooter and changing the pitch? If so, should I go down to 23 or 24? I appreciate all the replies and advice and will keep everyone posted on my progress. As always, great help, great folks on a great site!!!
Oh, forgot to mention… my motor sits on a 6″ manual jackplate!
TexCaboCat, please email me pictures of your wheel to jim_082005@yahoo.com. I think I can use it. Thanks!!
I have an original Hot Foot already mounted in my P3. I would like to upgrade to a Hot Foot Pro with the top connecting cable and a slide plate. Can anyone tell me if the existing throttle cable can be used, or will it need to be replaced? Thanks!
OKB, I appreciate the offer and Ill take you up on it. Im happy to pay for it or at least the postage. Send me an email at jim_082005@yahoo.com and Ill send you my address. Thanks!!!
Thanks for checking Mike! OKB is sending a 1999, and Im still optimistic Ill find a 2000!! I appreciate all the help Ive gotten… this is truly one great family to belong to! Jim
BCB, I spoke with Bobby today regarding my flippin compartment… KUDOS to Bobby!!! Just as I continue to learn, he, along with everyone else, is a credit to the BCB organization and family. He has offered to help me in any way possible. I appreciate all the help being given to me. I will be a BCB owner for a long, long time!!!
I gave McLain Trailers a call, but they dont do any sort of paint work. Any other ideas around Houston? Thanks!
Sorry about that, but I wasnt clear. I am replacing my existing 787c2 with another 787c2. I know it may sound like a ridiculous question, asking if another 787c2 unit will fit, but I just didnt know if there were unique characteristics about each unit. I am existing one 787 with another 787. So, is it safe to assume the replacement unit will fit the existing quick disconnect? Thanks!
Thanks BCB, and DUHHHHHHHHHH!!! I never EVEN considered it being the diameter of the roller. But you know what is right for a P3 trailer, so a 3″ it is! I know what to get now. Thanks again!!
Please send pics to jim_082005@yahoo.com. Thanks!

This is a little older model than you might want, but Ive got a 2000 Pantera III single console with a 200 Evinrude Ficht. Boat and motor run fantastic and are in excellent shape. Fiberglass is almost flawless and only have one very small tear in the seats. Low hours at about 170. Boat has all bells and whistles… Motorguide 36V foot trolling motor, Humminbird 787 GPS and Lowrance X-71 on dash and Lowrance X-51 on bow, new batteries in the last year, brand new 4 bank online battery charger, Hambys keel guard, Aurora custom boat cover, extended fishing deck (great for you and Dad), two butt seats and much more! You wont be disappointed! I have a picture of the boat in my profile and a larger one posted in the Owners Gallery. Asking $14,000 for this gem! If interested, email me at [email protected] for more details and pics. Im located in the Houston, TX area.
