Whats the cost? Since Im from Prattville will it be OK if I partner up with Russ Lane. Never mind about the cost, it wont matter if I can get Russ in my Cat.
Chris, What kind of prop are you turning. I have a 06 Classic with the EFI 2.5 and only hit 70 mph one time and that was my son by himself. I have the 25 tempest that came with it. I lowered the motor a bit to help with hole shot. Didnt hurt the rpms or speed that I can tell. My rooster tail seems a little tall.
Thanks for every ones reply. OT I cant stop it from moving with my fingers under the cowling. The lever feels real tight going into reverse and the prop will lock into gear in reverse. I hope it might be what mebasscats problem was with his lower unit. I will head to Airport Marine Tuesday as I havent had any experience with changing my on oil.
albassmam do you fish around Prattville (home 6A state champions & Russ Lane) or are you up around Logan Martin. Had T out of Swift Creek Sunday and caught a lot of fish. Just looking for someone different to fish with every now and then.
email me at [email protected]
That would have had him in the top 10 with his 2nd day catch. That hurt
First of all Kelly did a heck of a job putting it together. Thanks to Bill for helping with the weigh in. Thanks to Airport Marine for the goodys to give away. My son and I caught all our fish shakey head, had a limit by 7:40. Culled up to about 12-13 lbs. Then at 1:30 we stopped on a point and caught 2 that culled out 2 more. Like Ike says, “never give up” We were sort of panicking trying to use the balance beam cause some of our fish were close plus we were running out of time. I have never been part of a 16 Lb. plus bag so I was pretty happy. Best part is doing it with my son. We caught about 20 that day. Looking forward to the next one. Aint nothing like our Coosa River Spots. Congratulations to Russ Lane who finish 6th in the FLW open yesterday on the the Big O.
As you can tell on here Im trying to help with his PUBLICITY . Russ is a cool dude and I got feeling he might do pretty good this year. Working out a lot to get in better shape, starting strong in the FLWs (except a one day speeding ticket, GPS broke). You might want him as a sleeper in your fantasy pick.
I installed this on my Classic and wish I hadnt. As a matter of fact Im probably gonna take mine down and see about putting new foam on under the lids. You will have to put SCREWS in to get it it to hold. All the bouncing around will knock them loose and no glue I could find will hold it without screws. You will tear your bags and most will tear off when in ruff water, especially the heavier plastics. The screws they send will break off at the head when you tighten down on it. I broke 1 rod when one end came loose, worked its way under the rod and broke it when I lifted the lid. Just put your worms in a worm bag and get those file organizers for your plastic trays. Wish I had done that to begin with.
Kelly will be along shortly. He is shooting for 1 a quarter. We do need to help him out some. This last one he organized it and then ran the scales too. Hey Kelly, does a goat count as a trash fish?
Thanks BCB and Oldtimer. Caddo I will let you know how it goes.Last edited by CatScratchFever on April 29th, 2008, 8:04 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Jill said he had 2 fish that was close to dieing so he weighed in 2 hours early. 1lb. penalty might cost him some needed points with the tight weights. Might be a smart move. I was surprised how much the weights dropped. On another note Skeet is having a great year. Im not a fan of his but what I dont want to see is him dominate the year and lose the AOY here on the Alabama River and Lake Jordan. Central Ala wasnt his cup of tea last year. Would love to see Russ in the top 12. He is unbelievable on these 2 home waters. Jackem Up
