Its a cover for the hole where your wires go through the fiberglass. Just there to be pretty. Looks like the wire for your transducer.

I would have thought they would have come down the side as well. The little black cover is a Lowrance part, The cable looks the same size as a transducer cable so, I just figured thats what it was. It could go to something else. I wonder if they mounted a transducer under that drain? Do you lose bottom signal on your lowrance unit when you get on plane? Sometimes people do weitd things…Last edited by CriggVA on August 10th, 2009, 12:51 am, edited 1 time in total.

There should be a cap under your windscreen. This is where you would service the system. Check Teleflex website for service instructions.

Thanks NELACAT, Ill give thema call in the morning. The only reason Im confused is because of this statement in the Quest rules; R. Registration: There is no cost to owners of all 2000 model year product and later, which has a the Lifetime Warranty status and/or is transferred as of November 1, 2004 The fee to transfer Lifetime Warranty is $100.00, plus any dealership fees that may apply for 2000 and later models, and includes membership in Quest. There is a $100 Quest Membership Fee on all used boats, 1999 or older. This is specifically attached to the owner and that particular Bass Cat boat serial number. Membership in Quest and or transfer of Lifetime Warranty is open to all Bass Cat Owners, no matter age of product. Transfer of Lifetime Warranty automatically qualifies the owner for Quest Membership. Units purchased used from inventorying, good standing Bass Cat dealerships, will be registered by dealership and Bass Cat, at no charge. *

My Cougar runs 36V TM and the third battery used is the starting battery. Some may not like this (liking to save the third battery for cranking only). The previous owner said it never caused him a problem, I havent had an issue, YET and it saves weight of a fourth battery and you can still use same charger.

Im hitting 71gps with my 04 CougarFTD 225 Opti, and I cant drive the boat very well at all yet… Im running a 25p trophy plus. I will admit those numbers are alone w/all my tackle and 1/2 tanks of fuel. I feel like once i learn to drive a little better and stretch her out, Ill get a little more out of it. I wish I had a 250 Pro XS. That would be the cats azz….(ok pun intended)Bob, Id say you have a bad attitude, cant drive, your setup is wrong ect…..but I just dont know you that well …YET…

I do plan on trying a 25 fury out that my friend has but I feel more comfortable with 4 blade right now beings that im just trying to figure out how to drive it (chine). I am a little concerned that with the cooling temperatures that my rev limiter and I will have issues as well. Im at 5710 rpms right now. I may have to step to a 26. Im really surprized not to see same numbers out of the same set up.

Contact Linda Colt. I have had great success with her dedication to Lowrance customers. ][email protected] Explain your situation to her, she will help out all she can. Good luck.
