Good idea if you are just going down the bank and no wind , but what if your are fishing ledges out on KY LAKE in the mouth of Jonathon Creek[10-15MPH WINDS] ,whats going to keep you from dancing and falling in the water while the boat is getting rocked up and down and your are trying to brace yourself on the pro pole[BUTT SEAT] and the trolling motor to hold you in place to keep the boat in position.
Who wants to have to adjust a tension bar while fishing a ledge either during pratice or while fishing a tournament in the wind . You will have to neal down and pray while you are adjusting a tension bar while your trolling motor is bouncing up and down out of the water that you dont fall out of your boat . Then, while all this is happening your boat has drifted off onto or away from your spot . Its a good idea maybe for people who just fish shallow all the time and dont like change in mother nature while on the lake ,like the wind blowing or alittle storm blowing by. Bill Dance would be a good example to use this cause the only time he ever gets up is to put a fish in the boat. I think i would have to agree with adchunts on his statement of people who are used to a recessed pedal , its going to be hard for them to go back to the on the deck. Hey man dont know anything about choke canyon but id had east and go to lake guntersville within the next 3- 5 weeks , i think you would have more fun with the numbers of quality of 6- 9lb fish fish range on a rig , rattle trap or a jerk bait .

If you wanna flip up a few big ones id hook up with jig man in little river and if the water is right in little river he can show another thing or two and you will not have to leave little river . You will have an assortment of rods in the boat if this happens when you are there and if decide to go with him. You might even catch a fat one out on the row of bushes when you come out of little river, but if you hate snakes you can 4get your flippen, espcially if the water is up, they are everywhere and dont mind gettn in the boat with ya but you do stand a good chance of catching a toad there.
Percy Priest lake has some good night fishing during the month of June on a big spinnerbait or big worm . Call info for Fate Sanders Marina thats the marina that is on Percy Priest that has all the tournaments . I came in to Nashville 5-10 yrs ago and went on a night trip with the owner of Fate Sanders ( John Hopkins) our best 5 weighed around 27lbs and no telling how many 2-3lb fish we caught. I mentioned Old Hickory Lake to him but he said Percy Priest is like a small Kentucky Lake.
If my memory is right he has one of the best spinnerbaits ive ever thrown at night that he makes it was a Hoppies or Hoppys single blade with a good thump that vibrated that rod tip well w a deep thump in a 1/2 or 5/8 model with a deep cupped blade , we slow rolled it , it looked like he wasnt even reeling the bait. From what i remember he said he used to fish BASS and some of the STRENS/ REDMANS back in the day, excellent fisherman and we whackedem good that nte all the way til daylight. Just call the marina and ask for LIL HOP i do remember somebody calling him that while we were on the dock and ask him why , cause his dad was Big Hop and his last name was Hopkins . You will have a ball and alot of fun like i did and a trip you will not forget
Skeete is going to a new reel company soon so i dont know what they( ABU) is going to do with all those yellow and black reels now . Did anybody see the pics on BASS ZONE website of Skeete fishing out of a Triton on day 4 of the last Elite trnamnt, but he weighed in in his Champion boat – kinda odd ?
Just dont try to run a prop to small cause i did one time and ended up blowing my motor when i was in my younger boating years , costly lesson learned.Sorry to change the subject but heard through the grapevine you will be able to take your Triton to a Ranger dealer and get the same work done on it within the 2 weeks or by thursday, looks like somebody wants to own most of the boating industry when it comes to fishing boats.Wander if Earl will be a part of this also …… just saying
Sorry guys this didnt come from bass fan website or jon storm , i got a call from a friend who is at the ICAST show who has been a friend of earls for the past 25 yrs that is still in the boating industry . Whether this happens tom or not who knows and whether earl has anything to do with the deal or not he didnt really go into details about it , all we can do is see what transpires within the next few days or weeks.

PIGman what does it matter to you where im from or what i post ,im in the loop from Alabama to TENN to KENTUCKY and across over to Arkansas with this industry. Ive been around for 25yrs in this industry and know most the of ins and outs of this buisness and most of the owners up until a few weeks ago ( PEs takeover ). Because of people like you our industry stays open just wait til the next time you go and buy a boat and you thought you got a deal . Remember there are some real dumba…. out there when they leave the lot, i hope you dont fall into that catagory. Remember i was rt about Triton and it happened and didnt have to read it(on Bassfan.com) and really knew a month b4 it happened. Remember im closer than you think to this industry and dont need to worry about name,location or from good sources. For all you know i might work for BCB or might have just bought a loaded 2011 FX 21 for 41,000$$ w 2 HD 10s and structure scan with the people i know or dealership i own. So if you dont like my post/comments, go get on FACEBOOK and cry to all your friends. JigNpig go get a box of maxis and chew on them and take them with you the next time you go to buy that new boat.
