Launching out of Ti/south Bay or Plattsburg? Big lake with lots of different stuff. Spinner baits, jigs and senkos in the milfoil for LM. I never got to fish up north so not sure about the SM. Drop shot or tubes will always work! You will have a blast! This doesnt happen to be one of the guys from the Junior STBM club? (I am in the senior club..) Bill
I got your PM about Silver, sorry for not responding. I have never even laid eyes on the lake, so I am of no help. I have heard it can be tough. A few years ago though, a guy from the club had 21+lbs so who knows??? I think I will be there Saturday. What time do you guys weigh in? Bill
If Erie is too bad, check out Chautauqua Lake near Jamestown NY. You would have to get another license but is a very good alternative if Erie is blowing too bad. Bill
I wish I knew the secrets!! What I do know is that Erie can get UGLY, Chautaquat can only get ugly…. As the only BassCat owner in the STBM adult club (Les Blue is almost there. though, hope he doesnt fall into the N, R. or bug brand….) I ask that you give me the location of the big bag on Silver! Chautauqua isnt until the 15th so I have some time to pry that info out of you! Bill
Sorry BR400, Dont mean to hijack your post. But everyone wants to see some monster brown fish, so we will try and keep this at the top!!!
Nice pics. Hope I can find some of those fish Saturday. What were the pictures I saw of your brother at the divisional with a NOT BASSCAT shirt on……… ???? I know he was forced to, but still…. I know you supplied him with the right goods… Congrats to him, I heard he did better than a bunch of the adult guys!!!
You can also check out BassBoat Central under “Boat and Trailer Bling” (or something like that). There will be a lot of examples on both BassCats and some of those other brands.
Very nice job for that lake. Any time after May 15th or so, I have never broken the 7 lb mark in a T!!! I think I had less than 6 lbs there in July And they all bit 1/2oz + jigs and 1/2 oz spinner baits. that lake is frustrating!!! Glad to see you let your brother catch some. I leave for Chautauqua in about 30 hours….. much much more potential than H. Just have to keep the muskies off the baits…. Bill
Not too well…. had an OK practice Friday, but not great. Saturday someone was where I wanted to start, so I screwed around kind of off the spot waiting for him to move.. He didnt. So I went to a set of docks and got a 4.70 lb LM, nice start. Finish the rest of the docks, nothing. So I go to my 2nd and pretty much only other weed area (went past the first spot and there were 6 or so boats there, guess others found the same thing I did). 5th pitch, get a 3 ish LM. Not bad start since just then the Bell Tower rang 8 am. That was pretty much it for the day, did get one more 2 lber. 3 fish for 10 lbs. I am a long way away from knowing that lake. The 4.70 ended up being the 3rd biggest weighed in. 2nd T in a row I had 3rd heaviest, we pay 2 lunker spots LOL..
yep, I am on the results. Tan Columbia shirt with a BCB hat. Bill
Congrats to him. It should also be noted that this is back to back AOY titles in the NY Bass Fed as well I believe… Bill
1990 P2 with 1990 Johson GT150, 4 blade Turbo. Tough time getting on plane with over 1/2 fuel and full livewells. Just fuel is OK but livewells hurt. I have never played with set up at all since I got it 3 years ago. I have seen 57-58 GPS but I pretty much never go to WOT and lots of trim.
My friend has a label on the passenger console of his R boat that says “Thank you for not stepping on the seats” after a draw partner in the BWS decided it was better to use the seat instead of the step to get onto the back deck. It is the first thing you notice when sitting down… Maybe you could get a vinyl sign with an arrow pointing to the grab bar?
Thanks! New pads are on order.
Sorry to hear about this… I would love to keep it close to home for you, but wife isnt done with grad school for another year, so my 20yr old P2 will have to do. I know the time and energy you put into it.
