If there is a will there is a way, maybe a 23 footer with the fuel tanks running down the sides toward the front flat under the rod lockers with at least 108″ or 110″ at the rear with added flotation. just guessing or wishing. With the right prop and set-up I would 105 maybe 110 mph. Everyone can dream.
Why did the insurance company not total the whole boat, engine, and trailer? From what I see it will cost more to fix it (the right way) than the boat is worth.
Would you put a 150 hp motor on your cougar? Size matters if you have a choice. Just my way of thinking. harleybasscater
You have to take the wires off the crank batt. and the wires off the batt. you want to jump off of, or they will arc from hooking a pos to a neg.
If you keep a boat for a long time like I do, BCB is the way to go. I do not know where you are, but I can show you my 1994 model pII and let you see how they hold up in the long run. Russell
What was the price of gas last year with Bush? $4 and something.
Is that what I hear hmmm after I turn the key sometimes it stays on awhile and most of the time I do not even hear it. I know I can change out the hose and bulb, but what about the fuel pump? Is that something I need to take in to get fixed or can I do it.Last edited by HARLEYBASSCATER on June 13th, 2009, 12:50 pm, edited 1 time in total.
It runs fine after it gets started. while cranking it smells like its flooded. From what you said on how to replace the fuel pump it is way over my head, unless you can buy the whole thing in one and plug it in.
Move back and we will go fish, moved here myself from Russellville AR ten years ago and never looked back except for the AR river and Dirtnell lake.
Got them all out except one, and stripped the head. Now what? BCB must have used a impact wrench to put these in. If it wasnt a fiberglass boat I would use the blue tip wrench!!
I wonder if Mr. Earl B. answers questions on his board? Oh thats right I dont think he has a board.
This whole thing is all my fault, not trying to blame BCB for anything except have a great product that has lasted since 1994. Stock t-motor bracket and screws from 1994 I would say I got my moneys worth. As for the wife thing, got rid of her but kept the boat.
What size do I need, and how many do I need? Is there one for each battery or just one for the t-motor? Sorry about all the questions, just do not know a whole lot about older stuff. I found them in the parts page, but there were three or four different amp. sizes and one push button style. What will I need. The round disc that you are referring to goes to you dash and is the for the heading indicator. Wondered about mine also until I turned it over and read the sticker.
You look like Mike on the cover of his book.
