Ive been using the Battery Tender plug for a couple months now, and I have been more than happy with it. If there is any questions you have about it, I am more than happy to help you out.

If I can get out to see him before I head back to school I may be able to grab you a picture, but it is virtually the same set up as in the link JSLAW provided. When he fishes from the front end, he always uses it. But fishing from the back, which he does most of the time Im with him, he uses the chair itself as his base and sort of crawls his way back there leaning heavily on the chair. As far as getting in the boat, he uses the trailer as a step to climb over the passenger side (single console), and repeats the process getting out of the boat as well. For both processes, slow is key as is always having something to hold on to.

Dont mean to hijack this too much from you Scatcat, but Ive got a similar question to this.Ive got an 06 Puma with a 225 HPDI. Currently running a 25 M1 that is spinning hubs relentlessly for no apparent reason so Im looking to get a new prop for my Yamaha as well. What would be the best prop for this setup? Hole shot is more important than speed for me as I tend to run in shallower water.Thank you!

I’ve got a 2006 and had something similar happening with mine.. I’m not sure when Seastar took over, but I know the first generation (so to speak) had some issues with the seals and o rings.

With that said, I had that happen with mine and had a leak I never noticed. Filled it back up with some Transmission Fluid and have been good ever since. I haven’t had the chance to actually take the time to replace the seals/o rings yet but in due time.

    Hopefully helps ya some.

I’m running a Yamaha so it’s a little different, but see if you can try a 25 Tempest.

I started running one when I had spun a hub on my Yamaha prop about 2 years ago, and performance drastically increased for me. Usually run belly tank full, and about 50% in rear tanks. Great hole shot, great lift, and good speed.
