BCB, No idea where your plans are for these events, if there are Logan Martin you may need to give another location some thought. Logan Martin is currently at 460 (winter pool) give or take 3″ or 4″ depending if Alabama Power is running water. Full pool is 465 Alabama Power is projecting 456.60 on or about Sept. 5 At this level I dont think there is a is a public marina that would have a boat ramp that could be used. FYI only us if needed. Mackey Miles
bigspots, At speed the boat has so much lift (a good thing) that the transducer is out of the water. Only thing left is mount transducer out side, a bad thing if you fish shallow water with stumps etc.
Phil, Neely Henry is currently at elev 505.11. APCO has projected it to be at 503.50 on or about Sept 12. Full pool is 508 winter level is 505. You can check the lake level and generation schedules by calling 1-800-525-3711 and follow the menu. On line at alabamapower.com, click on community/lakes recreation/lake info/lake conditions this will be a list of all APCO lakes with current levels as well as projected levels. As ot said be very carfull. There used to be a lot of standing timber that APCO cut below surface a few years back. I dont know how far below what level, hopefully some one who knows will respond. PS I will be heading your way in a couple hours. Orange Beach. Mackey Miles
Milt, for a comparrison I have a 07 Sabre FTD, 150 opti,6″(i think) slidemaster jackplate and 23 tempest. Set up has not been changed from BCB rigging. They may be able to advise of motor heights and size of plate. I see post of 68mph but I dont get that unless you look at speedo. On GPS Im at 60/61 mph @ 5700/5750 rpm, thats all it will turn. This is full fuel, medium load with one 200# person. I have no problem with the boat walking at any trim level. May be a little loose but nothing to be alarmed about. I may get 2 or 3 mph with different set up, but is it worth a day changing props, plate heights etc, $100.00 gas and $400.00-$800.00 for new prop. How much time will you save on an average day of fishing with a gain of 2mph on an average day of say 50 miles. OT57 can/will advise us. I can tell you the SabreFTD fishes much bigger than any 18 boat. In fact a fisherman on a dock ask me if that was a 20 or 21 boat, he would not accept 18 as my answer. Any way BCB is the way to go for best product and customer service.Mackey

Thank You, and all the wonderful people at BCB do the same. Mackey Miles
Hey Elwood, Sabre won total weight and big fish at SEBCOG tournament at Guntersville last month. Not many (so called) entry level boats handle wind and waves the size you have on Guntersville. Sabre is definitely not an entry level boat. Mackey
Judd, I found small pic of BCBs pop axle but cant tell much from pic. Can you give more detail. What I am actually trying to do is spin boat around 90deg. in drive way disconnected from truck and line up with door opening. (garage door opens to drive way along property line not toward street, neighbors lawn to close to make turn with trailer connected to truck). When I get trailer in position in front of door Im good to go. I dont need to maneuver trailer inside garage only get it in line to push into garage. Does this make any sense at all, not very good at explaining what I am trying to accomplish. Thanks again, Mackey

Kelly, Sorry for you and your friends family. I also met Mike at SEBCOG event also. It is very tough to deal with anytime you lose a loved one but especially this time of year. This my first Christmas with out my mother. If you have not experienced, you just dont know how difficult it is to deal with. Best advise I received, Prayer and keeping busy. I will be thinking about you and Mikes family. Mackey Miles
Hey Mike as my wife says to me (and quite often) cool it. Them Sylacauga / Summerdale boys dont need any help in their back yard. Us poor souls from Logan Martin will be the ones needing advice down on Jordan. (Jerdan if live near Montgomery) Hair jig ???? we bass fishin no stripe allowed. Oh I see now Kelly put in trash fish Wish you could make it. Count me in Kelly, unless something happens. Mackey
Tom, You ask a hard question to answer. There is no black and white answer. I have a 2007 Sabre FTD, Lowrance 520 in console transducer mounted inside at factory. Any where above 50mph(gps) I lose bottom signal depending on trim angle. At around 55to 60 if you trim down to allow signal you will feel like boat is plowing through water verse sitting on pad and obtaining most efficient operation. This boat runs very high out of the water and rides and handles excellent at any speed. Bottom line if you feel the need for speed know the water you are on or slow down. I dont have any experience with transducer mounted outside. Im on Logan Martin if you would like to look at my set up and or take a ride. Mackey
Flw, I have a brand new power pole that was to tall for me and I replaced with the shorter one. It has the seat mount attached, all you need is seat and four bolts. I will sell reasonable if you can use it. If your profile is correct on Talladega we can get together, Im in Pell City. Let me know if you are interested. Mackey
Kelly, Sorry I missed out on the fun and fellowship. Sounds like you and Bill did a great job with the tournament and all had a fun time. I beat myself up all day Saturday, but I was just real concerned about the roads when I last checked at 2:AM and made the decision not to chance traveling with so much sleet falling with a rain mixture. I guess Bill left his Strawberry jelly worms in L.A. Look forward to the next one, sure hope I can make it. Mackey
misr12, Pledge provides a nice quick shine (used all time at boat shows) but offers no UV protection for your new shiny CAT. BassBoat Saver is a cleaner and provides protection also. Does a great job preventing scum line build up if used frequently on hull and around trim pump/jack plate etc. Good coat of wax yearly and BassBoat Saver after use and you will be good to go. Also I posted below on garage door opening, did you get information you needed on opening width. Mackey Miles
