Im in the process of recovering pictures of the other customers weve made through BassCat sales. It is no good at all when the computer has to be reformatted and all is lost, my bad for not backing up, I know. If any of you did buy your boat from us and wouldnt mind emailing a picture of you with your boat, that would be a great help! ~Misty~Misty~ EKs Marine Service West Monroe, LA

This is usually due to a stuck/shorted switch, most often the one in the bow.~Misty~ EKs Marine Service West Monroe, LA

Mercurys requirement is 1000 Marine CCA with min 750 CCA with as close to or higher than 182 Reserve Minutes (This is what will make your battery last). Your charging habits will determine how long even the best battery will last. You should charge your batteries as soon as you come in off of the water. There are deep cycle trolling motor batteries that have the same specs as listed above, however, the charging system on the engine will not charge these as well as they will a cranking battery. This means that you MUST charge them with a separate charger rather than rely on the engines alternator.~Misty~ EKs Marine Service West Monroe, LA

Not a direct answer to your question but we recently took in on trade a 1999 Eyra with a 175 Mercury and the transoms solid. Weve already resold it so Id have to call the customer to ask more details if you wanted them. Im not sure if there was much difference between the Eyra you have and the one I just sold but Rick could answer that for you.~Misty~ EKs Marine Service West Monroe, LA

Have your dealer/mechanic check your prop shaft closely. It may be the cause of the seal failure (If bent or grooved).~Misty~ EKs Marine Service West Monroe, LA

We have the Bobcat from the dealer show here at our shop if youre close enough and want to come by to visit it. Its an awesome little boat and surprised me with the leg room that it has for its size. Even my 6 mechanic fits behind it and hes no little guy.~Misty~ EKs Marine Service West Monroe, LA
