I am willing to bet that its your radio that is causing the problem. Do what BCB says or move the radio to the trolling motor batteries.

I have fished the Potomac for the past 15 years. First of all start reading the reports at VA Outdoors web site. They are truthful and accurate. Read the thread under Potomac River fishing reports called ” Potomac river clues”. It will tell you everything you need to know about fishing tides and grass. You will have to go where the boater takes you so you will be at his mercy. Right now the color back is the ticket for frogs and senkos. Green pumpkin and red shad are good backup colors. Right now and depending where you will be, you will need between 1/2 oz and 1 oz sinkers for flipping. Make sure you use at least a #6 hook for your frogs and at least one heavy action rod with 30# braid or stronger for frog fishing. I use a owner 1/16th oz swim bait hook with 17# Flora for flipping Senkos into the holes in the grass. The river is healthy from DC to Aquia creek on the Potomac so it is possiable to catch quality fish almost anywhere. There is a ST Judes tournament on Fri the 10th so if you have access to a computer check the reports on VA Outdoors web site Fri night. Good luck! Jim

Thanks guys. I just went and looked at it. It is a sweet ride. I am not sure about the FTD. I have the 06 Puma and love the ride. I up graded my TM to a Minn Kota Fortrex too and thats the ticket for a TM. Rock solid! I will keep checking and thanks for the link.

I actually have two issues with the poles, garage height going in, and it cant sit back farther than my ladder unless it is pretty close to the motor (I have a 3 foot recess slot in the back of the garage that the motor backs into.Thats a tough situation. I feel your pain.

mike dominick wrote: I would go over to Hydrilla Gear and talk with Rich, he can explain exactly what you need and a get you the best price on a Power Pole if thats what you decide to get. I have a friend with the Talon, hes the one that told me to buy the Power Pole due to not being able to get under bridges into backwater areas with his set up. Good luck with whatever you get, Mike. There are also a bunch of you tube videos from ICast. Heres a link for Hydrilla Gear: http://www.hydrillagear.com/Good info Mike. That could be a big issue with me too when I fish Kerr in the spring when flooding is an issue getting under some bridges. TKS

No argument from me. I will be turning my prop in soon to have it cleaned up. It cost me about 200.00 and change the last time. I do not own a spare prop. My thinking is if I have to spend the money any way then now is the time to spend a little more for a good used 27T or a little tweeking to my 25T. Thanks for the input and advice.
