It will fit on the bow but I would recommend the RAM Mount. I like being able to have the extra adjustments.Jay
Thank you very much! Jay
JP,Congrats on the new boat, I picked up my boat first week of April, which is identical to yours. The SHO is definitely living up to its expectations . I havent really been able to opener up because my 5yo wants to go with me everytime (I love that though). Look forward to hearing about you plate and trim settings once you dial her in, to hopefully take out some of the guess work for me.Jay
Looks like the new dash might hold the 1197/HDS10. Cant wait to see Flyswatters
When throwing topwaters, my biggest problem was setting the hook to early, as soon as the strike occurred. I would pull it away from alot of fish. I had to learn to set on feel rather than sight. I keep working the bait but as soon as I feel pressure after the strike I set the hook. Loose alot less fish now. Plus if the fish misses it on the initial strike, you will not snatch the bait half way back to the boat, and the fish will usually come back for more. If the fish does not get hook(s) on the strike, and pressure isnt applied or applied to late to set them, then there is the possibility of the fish realizing the bait you are throwing was not what he was expecting to eat therefore releasing the bait. Hope my rambling has given you some help!
I have never used the Toro but do use the Winch for my all my deep divers. Plenty of line capacity and I dont feel worn out after a full day of deep cranking.Jay
Tom,You have got one hell of a good looking boat! I know you will enjoy the SHO as much as I have enjoyed mine. Hopefully, we will run into each other on the water.Jay
Rick,You, your son, and your family are in our prayers. Wishing him a speedy recovery!
Joe,If you gauges are the digital then it is tied into your GPS. If you have hummingbird, go into you menu (dont know exactly where, but you can scan through and find it) and make sure the NEMA is turned on. When I updated my hummingbird software and restored everything to default it turns the NEMA off. If you have lowrance then I have no clue, but I am sure someone will be along to help with that. Jay
Heading down to Scotts tomorrow morning to drop off my boat for the 20hr service. I cant wait to see it! I will resist the urge, I will resist the urge, I will resist the urge, I will resist the urge ………………………………
I will leave my rod lockers unlocked, dont have any rods or tackle anyways. I just like riding around and looking like I can catch fish. Tom on the otherhand is Mr. Bassmaster. I am going to pay Scott off to take pics of all of his secret lures he uses when he brings his boat in for service. I will sell them to you, Selma, for a small fee.
Brian it was a pleasure talking with you and your family and that is one beautiful rig you picked up. Tom, I plan on being at the tournament in November. Scott is suppose to be getting the info flyers this week and faxing me a copy. Hope to see you both there!Jay
My dealer has my gauges and I am ready to get up to speed when Pete in parts sends him my bucket seat lid. You did have some gauges at the dealer, it is amazing what Mr. Ben Franklin can get done………. They look awesome on my Puma!!!!
