Hmmm, tempting. Hang on I gotta go sweet talk the wife :>)FISH ON!
What is the dark color on the boat, looks like solid black but Im thinking it might be malibu red? ThanksFISH ON!
Thanks for the info! FletchFISH ON!
There are some really nice smallmouth bass in there also. Ive caught a few nice ones on the land between the lakes side of the lake. This was just across the lake from Jonathon Creek and just a little north. But this was in April. Get a lake map and stay in the channel – watch the marker buoys. Best of luck!FISH ON!
TnSabre wrote: How did a PII with a 200 HO blow by you in a Classic with a 200 Opti? I know the HO is a strong motor, but blowing a 200 opti on a lighter hull away, I have a hard time believing. I used to have a B&B 27 Tempest that I ended up slinging a blade off and here is the best speed I reached and there was no river current at all that day. This speed was actually reached going up river. My buddys P-II is an 07 with 200 Opti and it ran 74mph at close to 5000 RMP. Not sure which prop he is running. That HO must have ran close to 80?FISH ON!
BassCat junkies I cant get over the responses from BCB. I have never seen a manufacturer respond on a web page like you guys do. Awesome job BCB – thanks!FISH ON!
Thanks BCB! Where is the switch located that turns on these lights? One thing you might want to consider offering is a switch to turn on the 1st 3 lights, and then turn on the extra lights (if outfitted that way). This might be something that the dealer could setup on the accessory switch. Im guessing these are LED lights? I agree 100% – it would be very nice to not have to worry about those plug in lights. Cords laying on the deck are an accident waiting to happen. Ive came really close to taking a unwanted bath several times due to the cord. I do a LOT of night fishing due to the high amount of boat traffic at my local lakes. Having this option will save time and effort and is a safety feature in my opinion. If and when I can afford a new boat, Ill definetely order the stalker pkg, perhaps with one or two extra lights per side. Thanks again!FISH ON!
Thanks BCB! Ill call Manfred tomorrow afternoon.FISH ON!
Way to go Cardinals!!!!!!!!!!!FISH ON!
Thanks for the reply BCB. Initially I didnt consider a lengthy concept as you mentioned but I can understand where you wouldnt want to advertise something without it being a quality production. Ill keep watching the site for enhancements/announcements for us internet users. Please keep me/us posted and thanks. Maybe you could call Ike up and ask him if he would be willing to share a video? :>) (I heard a BassCat commercial playing on TV this passed weekend but I didnt get back in the TV room quickly enough to see it). I think it was on the Versus channel?Maddoxbay – good idea. Your suggestion is right on target. A dealer or even a private owner could produce a low budget video like this and it would not reflect badly on BCB since its more of a personal posting. If anyone happens to run across one please let me know. Place the URL for the video in this post – thanks!FISH ON!
Oh yeah, I liked that . Something with a little more detail would be great for BassCats. Nice job BasserTX! A little Golden EarRing to go along with it – nice touch :>)FISH ON!
Thats a sharp boat Don! In the words of Karl Childers (Slingblade), I sure do like em BassCat boats mmhhm. ;>)Last edited by WTFletch on August 27th, 2009, 3:13 pm, edited 1 time in total.FISH ON!
Sorry for what might be obvious but – What is a model J trailer? Is there an option? Is this the trailer that has the Torx rubber axle soft ride suspension? What about the antenna just to the right of the console? Perhaps for the Stereo? How about the Merc warranty – how long till it runs out? Nice looking boat for sure. thanks, FletchFISH ON!
Thanks Don!FISH ON!
Thanks for the information, I appreciate it! “WT”, lol, thats what my Dad used to call me – when I wasnt in trouble ;>) Ive visited Sherms place a couple of times now. He knows his stuff and has been very helpful in the past. I see why guys drive long distances to deal with him. Ive already got my Quik kleen and used it in my previous rig (although I think they are calling it something else now? Was just at BassPro and they didnt have quik kleen – they had something that looked just like it but its called something else). Ive got my Sta-Bil Marine formula ethanol/gas treatment and Ill be running some through the engine next week when I return. Ive also got my fogging spray that Ill use when I put it up. The engine only has 32 hours on it, so Ill wait till the end of next season or beginning of 2011 to check for the other things you mentioned (thanks for the tip). So, (from reading other posts) I guess Im moving out of the 2nd best boat made and into the best (now i feel legal when posting on this site lol) . Ive had the pleasure of riding in a buddies P-II w/200Opti and I must say, it was nice (set up by Stampers-Miamisburg,Oh). According to my buddy, he has had it up to 74mph and not at WOT with a 4 blade prop/manual plate (not sure which model/size) ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Zfvn7QLbrU ). Cant wait to see what the new P-IIs run like with the new 200ProXS. I might purchase another one next fall – shhhh, dont tell my wife . I need to get on the same plan that the guy Im buying it off of is in (lookout Sherm and Manfred). The guy Im buying mine off of might be moving to a bigger boat but I might buy his next winter??? Take care everyone – FISH ONFISH ON!
