There are a couple pics in my profile.
Hojo, i will try to add some additional pics soon. I have not been able to get out on the water in the past month. I do know the boat is 172″ long but i am not for sure on the beam width. I read somewhere it is 89″ but i am not positive. In addition, i am located in central Arkansas. thanks, chase
As of right now the boat is no longer for sale. i have a kid on they way so the new cougar has to wait!
thanks for the info. I think i for sure need to move a few sizes up. I would like it to run mid 50s at least.
Is the trailer still for sale? I have an older caracal that would probably fit on it but not sure. does the trailer have brakes? Please send me a reply back to my email at ] thanks,Chase
Thanks guys! yes it is VERY clean for its age. I inherited it from my grandfather. He used it very little and it basically spent most of its life sitting in a barn covered. Still has the original carpet and seats! I have put more hours on it in the past few years than in its first 20! updated trolling motor, all electronics, put the new opti on it and new smartcraft gauges. I love the boat but since i tournament fish it will probably have to let her go next year to hopefully make room for a new cougar!!!!!Last edited by chasescottwill on December 3rd, 2010, 9:58 pm, edited 1 time in total.
so i am confused….is the OI not at guntersville in 2011?
rock on!!! I will be praying for post spawn!!!
WOW! This is a real surprise!!! I also understand the severity of the storms that have hit our area but I have to agree with millpond! There are alot of people that would still be able to attend the event that have planned and taken vacation time off for this trip! I know my partner every year comes in from Dallas and has to make sacrifices to get his days off! However, I know the basscat family has put alot of thought into this decision and I hope its the right one!

i will check out bassboatcentral…thanks! Regarding the factory, they did not make one for my year model. For some reason in 86 they made the rod lockers open opposite of later models. I think this may cause a problem when making the insert. If i am sucessful in making one i will upload pics. thanks, chase
John, you are correct….one the size of the back livewell would be perfect! There is not much storage currently in my boat for anything! I have started working on the build and i have an idea. i will post pics as i am working on it. Hopefully it will turn out good!
here are a couple pics of the framing i have completed so far. My plan is to make almost the entire enclosed area storage with a top lid. I will post more pics as i get it completed. Sorry about the quaility…the lighting was terrible!
Pretty much finished with the framing and have added part of the top. This is where i will put the hinge for the top lid.
Well finally have it done. Turned out pretty well considering i am by no means a good carpenter! I basically just doubled my storage amount for my boat! Here is a before and after! http://images.yuku.com/im…b9acef29ade308af4702.JPGhttp://images.yuku.com/im…bb09b5efb26b5d04a0f0.JPG
