Andy do I need a special bracket to mount it to the jack plate. I have the original jack plate that came with the boat. Where would you recommend buying it from?

Ok , Just went and ordered the L-bracket,extension plate and shield for the LSS2 from Transducer Shield.. How difficult is this going to be drilling and installing on my jack plate? Who has done this and what do I need to watch out for. I watched there video on their web site. I have all the tools Drill, good bits for aluminum and know to measure twice then drill so what else do I need? Thanks

Ok, I know its only for swing away tongue trailers but WHY? I sure wish I could do this to my straight tongue trailer. Has anyone ever made one work out for us who dont have the swing away. Just wondering you guys are so lucky to have this available for you. I would even have some one weld up something to make it work. Thanks you can laugh at me now!

So there is a hollow spot there I was thinking 1/2″ -3/4″ Stainless screws would work. They shouldnt punch through, I would like to keep from having to drill through the wall. Thanks John

Got it pulled through with just a lot of going back and forth. Patience and a good friend to help we got it. Thank you everyone for the help. Did not want to remove the throttle arm, but things were looking pretty bad. Anyways we got it and now just need to tuck up wires and go out and try all the new electronics. Have a great week everyone. John

Thats what I thought. I will make sure to get some black silicone. I have had a motorguide and the current minn Kota on the boat. Swiss cheese is what it is going to look like. Thanks
