Teal Point Resort is a great place to stay. This will be my 11th year in a row there. It is only about 5 minutes from the launch site by boat and right off hwy 62.Call Karl or Regina at 870-492-5145 and tell them Jerry from PA recommended them. Always neat and clean and quiet with a family atmosphere. They also have covered boat slips. I just made my reservations today.
It is OK to leave boat in slip overnight. They have electrical hook up for each slip. Just plug her in and go have dinner.
I put LCX 28C HD on the bow last year and it was well worth the expense. I thought the bigger unit up front would be too much, but I wouldnt be without it now. The display and resolution are great and combined with the gps and using split screen, deep structure fishing (which I do a lot of) has greatly improved. It is almost like cheating. Ive been using lowrance for 15 years, but these new units are a whole new animal. You wont regret the bigger screen. The only down side of having the unit up front is that there is always water off your line or reel or off a fish, spashing onto the screen and the color units are a bit hard to see when they get wet. You wont have that problem on the console. Good luck.
Dont get too big headed Sean, Scott treats us all that way. He is amazing.
I agree with the other guys. Less bolts and wild paterns. Less is more.
Well Done ! I am proud to be a member of the family.
Congratulations to Terry on a great tournament. It was very nice to see how proudly and prominently he dispayed his Bass Cat logos. I really wish all the Bass Cat Team would do the same thing. Sometimes you really have to pay close attention to see if you can tell witch boat company is sponsoring an individual.
I guess you dont see much about us on this board because we are a bunch of happy guys. I have an 02 and it still looks like new. I had the new seats put in and also had it recarpeted in 07. It is great to fish out of and handles rough water very well. The only thing I dont like is the fact that it has the small 2.5 200 block and is slow out of the hole when fully loaded. I blame that on me for my stupidity.
Judging by the condition of the lower unit, the trailer and overall boat condition 199 hours is probably correct. Looks like that Kitty has been hiding in someones garage for quite some time. Congrats!!
I probably would have switched over to a crankbait or jerkbait. Just experiment with a couple of colors and sizes until you zero in on what they want. This of course is just my opinion and most likely has no validity at all. Hope you get em next time.
I can vouch for Teal Point as well. This will be 12 year in a row that I have stayed there. Centrally located on lake, close to launch site, nice covered boat slips with electric, clean well kept facility, and very nice people. Phone # 870-492-5145. Tell them the guy from PA sent you.
Andy, you should be routing for the Steelers, didnt they draft you dad ? I thought I saw a letter on your bulletin board to that effect. Since I am the only Bass Cat owner from PA to attend the O I ( this will be my 13th consecutive) and I live one hour from Pittsburgh, it is GO STEELERS all the way.
Super job again. You continue to be the best. When they do a survey of long time owners of bass boats, you will absolutely blow the field away. Your customer satisfaction levels for existing boat owners will be far above any other manufacturer.
Good idea.
