I ran a hds 7 mounted on the rail as above for a year and it did decent but mine also moved around some. I now run a hds 10 on a home made bracket mounted in front of the gear shifter. I personally would just go ahead and make a mount instead of mounting to the rail, but it did work for me when I ran it

look over on BBC its a big thread about it, I fish there all the time and watched Randy fish and he was a lot further from the dam than it looks, but supposably he asked multiple times in registration if he could fish up against it and the answer was yes

I am currently running the same setup as you except I have PPs but should be close in weight and im running a 200 big block with 25 trophy and 2 large plugs in. Im pretty much having the same results in the summer and runs great in spring/fall. My plan is to try a 24 trophy in the summer but I havnt found one to try and hate to drop the coin on one just to try out. I have also heard of a few people running a 24 fury but I also havnt got my hands on one of those

The guys last week had terrible weather and conditions on the chick so dont let it turn you away. The water was really high and rained for a week straight. I am a regular for the chick as its my favorite body of water and the bigguns are chewing right now, but there are plenty of other bodies of water in the area also. The pamunkey river is also good about a hour from Hampton and right now you can catch spots, smallies and large mouth, one of the best times of the year to fish it. Hope this helps

Ive asked the same question before and think I was told that Britt built that mount himself for the unit to the side. but I could be wrong
