When I am on the lake fishing I unlock all of the compartments and disarm the alarm thus making it possible to gain quick access to the bilge/battery area if needed in an emergency. While traveling to the lake even with the alarm system activated it wouldnt take much to disarm the system with a bolt cutter to the battery cables and I could be out three batteries and need to replace the cables too. JMO.

This past Sunday while headed to the ramp after fishing a three day TX on Sam Rayburn I decided to see some speed. Two people, full live well, approximately 40 gallons gas and full of tackle. 2012 PII with 200 Pro XS, 25 Fury 1/4 trim. I hit 65 with a lot left in the throttle, no chine walk. The trifocals were in the glove box and the eyes seemed to be fluttering so I could not focus to see the speed on GPS any more. Awesome feeling to have the control my Cat has.

I have a similar problem with my 788CI HD. I am running the latest software and when I select waypoints routs and tracks my unit does a restart and wont go to the selected item. Is there a way to do a hard restart or something?

Fly,Do you have to open the top cap assembly to adjust the shaft, and how do you adjust the ring bearing collar? I have the Troll Perfect but still need the adjustments you are talking about.Pete

I was able to loosen the ring bearing collar with the TM still on the boat and lower it as you described. I plan to hit the lake in the morning to test it out. Thanks.

One last question. What did you use to lubricate the cables with and where do you lubricate them?

I need help… I have a 2012 PII with 200 Mercury ProXS and Humminbird 788c HD Combo and just the base analog gauges. I know I will need the Merc Monitor, but unsure about what else I will need. Is there a wiring harness that I will need to run from the Optimax to the Merc Monitor or is that already there. Also what other cables will I need for the Humminbird? Thanks,Pete
