I got my 27T1 in the other day and ran it for the first time. I was pleased with the top end, but I agree with qmowry, it is a dog out of the hole. My hole shot was much better with my 25T1. So, how do I get the magical “best of both worlds”?
Brian, I have an 07 HPDI. Last time I was in the water I encountered the exact same thing, and I mean even the same numbers. The water temp was 93 during a blistering heat wave. Im going to replace my impeller also. I dont see how an impeller can just all of a sudden go bad though. Did you notice your water stream being noticeably weaker during idle also?
The boat and motor have 240 hours. The motor was rebuild with all latest Mercury upgrades and the injectors sent back to Wis. and cleaned. This work was done at 238 hours and the break in still in progress.
I listed this boat for my Dad, I guess I should mention why he is selling it. He bought a new Puma. After I bought a Puma he just couldnt stand it. We are both proud members of the Basscat family, he just has one too many of them.
Bud, You are going to love my Dads boat. That 25T1 that is on it runs the boat very good. If you get a fury let us know how it performs. We were curious about them for our Pumas. Shane
I have a 997 SI mounted in the dash of my Puma. I think that would have to be the max on in dash installation. I have a Lowrance lcx-37c on the bow. As for the units, I like the navigation better on the Hummingbird and the sonar better on the Lowrance, hence the installed locations. IMHO
