Tim, What happened to the shaft? How long is the shaft? You say the motor is under warranty, is the shaft covered by the warranty? What about shipping? Any way that you can post a pic of the motor? If you would like you can send it to my e-mail at bassprocop@yahoo.com. Thanks.Jason
My friend has a 01 model 225 opti on a Ra**** (man…I just cant bring myself to type that name!) and he has close to 1000 hours on it. He guides out of that boat and he just had the lower unit rebuilt about 1 month ago. That is the only problem he has ever encountered believe it or not but he is a maintenance freak. It will undoubtedly be my next motor of choice.Jason
Thanks BCB for the response. Shoot…it is unique to me and I get tons of compliments at the ramp. I guess that is all that matters. Jason
I have seen bunks for sale that are already carpeted. Obviously all you would have to do is replace the entire board but I could not tell you what kind of quality the carpet is.
How old is the 24 volt? If you can send me some pics of it I may be interested. Send them to bassprocop@yahoo.com. Thanks.Jason
I am not sure but I think it is one year. I had a cranking battery go bad and it was at about 11 months and I remember my dealer telling me that I just made the warranty window. I may be wrong and I might have misunderstood him but I am pretty sure that is what he said.
John1112,I fish Fayette regularly. The water is not as warm as it used to be. It is cooled before it is discharged now and has been for a few years. Dont get me wrong it is still considerably warmer than most lakes but not like it used to be. I remember pulling fish from Fayette during the winter time and as soon as they came out of the water they had steam comming off of them because of the cold air temps. If you can get out there and catch them schooling you can catch them all day long on a clear topwater. The clear Boy Howdys work very well on that lake. The schooling has become more and more sporadic over the years but you can still have some fun with them when you can locate them. Like most lakes during the winter time the fishing is better deep. That seems to hold true on Fayette most of the year though. I always have the most success dragging a Carolina Rigged Lake Fork Top Dog Lizard in watermelon/chartreuse or a green pumpkin trick worm. The good thing about Fayette is that it is only about 2200 surface acres or so and it is usually pretty easy to find good quality fish. Try fishing at the end of the baffle dyke. The water is about 18-25 feet right off of the rocks. You should be able to catch some good fish there,. Good luck.Jason
I know what you mean John…I have caught two large cats near the intake. I caught one on a big crank bait and the other on a worm. The water does get very warm in the summer but I was told that they now cool the water somewhat before it is discharged back into the lake. I notice a difference during the winter months. It is cooler water than it was 6-7 years ago. Either way…the fishing this time of the year is a blast on that lake.
thanks for the info guys. I am particularly looking for frogs. We do have numerous Academy stores here because their corporate office is here. They do not have very much though.
Thanks Phil…I hope the pepper grass is still holding fish. I understand that quite a bit of hydrilla is missing already. Who cares. It sure beats workin!
Thanks for the offer James. I will be at Rayburn beginning Wednesday and I will be able to pick some up once I get there. I just like having everything ready to go once I get to where I am going. I have some lizards and twitch worms but I really wanted some frogs. I will pick some up at Anns if she carries them. I almost never buy anything at Academy anymore because I really dont like dealing with those kids that cant answer a question. I am glad to hear that BPS will begin carrying them. They will undoubtedly have almost everything that LFT makes…I hope.I may drop you a line and take you up on your offer one day if you are going that way. It was kind and I appreciated it. Thanks.Jason
Gabe…it is probably candy apple because Malibu Red is black with red flake in it. In my opinion, Malibu Red is the finest of all of the colors that BCB offers. If I am ever able to purchase a new boat and order it, I can guarantee you that it will have Malibu Red as a primary color. If you go to Phil Addisons web site impactfishing.com and look at his boats, the first two Pumas that he had were both White/Malibu Red/Candy Apple. Just my two cents but those are two of the nicest looking Cats I have ever seen.Jason
I guess I should have looked at your images first. It appears as though you have both Candy Apple on the top cap and Malibu Red in the cap insert.
We all have so much to be thankful for at my home. I am blessed with three beautiful kids with my oldest being married to a service man and living in Florida. I miss her very much and hope to get to see her at X-mas. My son in law is being deployed to the middle east and for those of you that have kids in the armed forces I feel your sense of pride and your concern for their safety. I want to say right here and now that I am very thankful to you Nick for taking care of my daughter. You are a honorable man and very brave. You will always be a welcome addition to our family. God bless you son and keep you safe and we look forward to your speedy return and a speedy end to this war. Sorry guys…Thanksgiving is a time of reflection for me and I want my kids and everyone else to know how much I care about them and how much I want them with me. God bless each of you and your families. I hope all of you are as lucky as I will be at about 1:00 on Thursday afternoon. Nobody does a bird better than my wife and I cant wait to eat it! Jason
Just like txmrbass I too have tried em all. I will tell you the worst to me is PowerPro. I have switched to the Suffix braid and I think it is the best to me. I am kind of a line freak and when the next latest and greatest comes out I will probably switch to that and sing its praises too. For now though I will stick to the Suffix.
