Hey Mike thanks for the response. You highlighted a good point that I need to pay attention to. Yes, I am from southern louisiana but i dont beat the banks. LOL! Must say it was tough, but I compete an I had learned the hard way that fish do do relate to other stuff. our waters are shallow but with the norm we fish in anything from 3 to 10 foot range. but i do fish tournments an also i fish some big lakes. more than likely will will be opting to upgrade to the big humminbird units.
I have a 08 PII an I am looking to do the same thing with upgrade of 1198. But I thinking bout putting it on pedestal mount coming off the side my the gear shifter.
I have the same set up like you. I have a 25 fury. With me along I can do 71 an some change with tackle, but that is with bout a 1/2 tank of gas with the saddle tank full. Now 2 guys full tournament load I can get 69 like you stated. But as things lite up a bite I have bumped 70. I am told that a 26 fury will do what you and both are looking for in cooler weather. I was also told that with 26 fury with 1 person 73 isnt a problem at all. I guess I will have to see cause I an flirting with buying a 26 fury. But thats after I mid-grade my electronics.

Yeh, I doing the same thing with setting up my 2 units 898. It was suggested to that I should keep my 787 in the console dash for a back up. More than likely I will keep it in place and run it with my 898 using the same antenna. I makes are to only run Sonar on the 787 and use my 898 for Gps and scanning.

BCB, is that the same seat that you sent me a pic of? If not tell me what I need to do to get the seat the want wrapped. Do have to purchase for springfield to ship to you. Or can I pay for it up front an you get the seat?
