Phil, the Smartcraft manual says that maximum trim is 10. At idle, it tilts to 25. When Im running my Puma, however, my trim goes only up to 5.4. When you say you trim all the way out at WOT, are you trimming to 10, or to something less? Was a trim-limiter perhaps put on my boat at the factory?

I must say youve great taste in boats, especially since its identical to the one I bought about ten days ago. Makes me wonder how many they made in that color scheme. I havent had the cojones to run mine WOT yet. Keep nailing em on Ross Barnett.

You might want to consider using a Trollbridge by Yandina instead. The first thing I did when I bought my new Puma a few days ago was have the 3 bank charger removed and replaced with a one bank and have the Trollbridge installed. When I run the big motor, my trolling motor batteries are being charged. This eliminates the weight of the extra battery and the 3 bank charger. I used this on my last boat and never ran out of power on windy days. When I plug in my charger after fishing at days end, the one bank charger almost always shows that I have a full charge already. By the way, you can also have the Trollbridge connected to your tow vehicle to charge your batteries while youre towing. I havent done this, however. Mine is just connected to the alternator in my Merc Pro XS. Heres a link. http://www.yandina.com/

Thanks for all the replies. Ive ordered a Fury, which should arrive in a couple of weeks. When I go to my dealer to get it, Ill show the Trophy to him. The rust is forming on the base of the prop ears where they join the prop (in the bend) and just behind each prop ear, extending to the back of the prop. If it looks like this after 6 weeks, hows it going to look in a year? Ive never seen rust on any of my props before this and have used some for over 5 years. Judd, I hope youre right; perhaps Im overreacting. What do you recommend that I polish it with?

Tideman, one of my assistants asked me last Wednesday who I thought McCain should pick. I told her that Id hoped for Condileeza Rice, but that she had said repeatedly she didnt want the job. My second choice was the female governor of Alaska (I couldnt remember her name), since Id heard her interviewed two months ago on Glenn Beck. She was VERY impressive. Tonight Ive heard TV pundit after pundit talk about how inexperienced she is. They are WRONG! Wait until you hear her speak about our need to open up ANWR to drilling, wanting to make us energy independent, and how shes cutting government, lowering property taxes–and other things I like to hear.
