The two tanks do not share gas. U will have to switch it manually at the transom. It sounds like u have it switched to the right tank right now.

It may be your in line breaker coming from the battery. just a small grey square box. mine was bad and would just cut everything off all the sudden. turn the main power off then back on it might work might not. callled BCB they told me the breaker may be corroded causing it to short out. sent me a new breaker and im back in the game. to test this just un hook the wire on one side and put both wires on the same side. if it works then thats your problem. but i could also be wrong to. just sounds like what mine was doing.

Roller coaster waves is almost an understatement. Fished the BFL choo choo on guntersville and it was rough to say the least. Had a 40 mile boat ride to the north and it made me very glad that i own a cat. If i owned any other brand boat Im sure we would have been wet from the ride. It still only took about 40 minutes to get there in that rough water to.

simyamaha.com is where I have been buying my oil. Cost last time I changed was $120 for the oil the filter an inline water separator and lower unit dope. Takes 10 minutes like stated above.

Shell make it. Made a run the same distance last year in my puma ftd and sho. I kept the rpm around 5000 and only ran wot for about 15 miles of the trip. The boat was loaded and I had a partner so you should be good to go. Get the yamaha outboard app if you have a smart phone. They have a performance bulletin in it and will give you an idea of how it will perform and mpg at different rpm ranges
