Thanks BIGMIKE. I cant figure out why it will run quiet for quiet a while and then all of a sudden I hear this little noise.

I removed the plugs and drained lower unit fluid. No water in it nor any metal on the magnets-not a slither of metal. Thanks

Once you got it past a fast idle it would run. Multiple trips to the “mechanic” and multiple times adjusting the timing, etc…..he would say it ran great on the hose and was fixed. Wed take it to the lake and have the same problem. This has very little to do with your problem other than the fact that Im saying running on the hose and running in the water are different.Thanks. I can run it in the lake for a mile and it wont make any noise when I take it off trailer. Fish for a while and start it up and here comes the noise. Wish it would do one or the other all time and maybe I could figure out what is happening.

Carried it to the Tennessee River and ran the predator and had real good hole shot. Wind was so strong that about 55 was as fast as I ran it. RPMS seem to be fine at that speed. Will have to get a calm day so I can hammer it a little.

Thanks guys for the information. Picked the predator up for 100 bucks and runs good. Will be a good spare when he gets my Tempest Plus trued and balanced. Thanks again

I was wanting to put shoot thru in the bilge area to keep it as it is now but was told by Hummingbird that Side Image would not work with that setup. Any thoughts on this or was I given some bad information? Thanks

Hey Catdude. I just installed the evactt setup as your drawing on my 2000 Sabre and it works perfect. Had to mount to transome since I dont have a jackplate but works great- Transom mount for low speed and shoot thru for high speeds. Mine was picking up at 64 gps when I backed off . Got it all from Hummingbird for about $110.00 shipped.

Mine has the manual and auto on the same switch with the min and max setting on a dial beside it.

They were prone to failure and yours sounds like its been a good one!Would that be the little red shell looking thing under the console? I replaced on on an old tracker years ago. Does this wire in to the harness under the dash. Also does parts haave these since they are pretty old. Thanks

Hey BCB. I cant fish the O.I. Tournament but being a veteran would love to purchase one of the shirts to help this wonderful cause. Can they be ordered online or on site at tournament? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.

Have you thought about the shoot-thru hull puck. Got it on mine with a y- cable and works perfect.

I bought a 2000 Sabre last year and it didnt have any cleats. You can order the flush mount from Basscat for about $35 each. Easy to install too
