I would run with CB2s suggestion and speak with a reputable repair shop in your area. I can tell you, my friends with MGs usually have a longer wait for warranty parts than the MK owners. I personally run a MK fortrex 101. The shaft is incredibly strong and the motor well built.

Appreciate the lengthy response. Goes a long way to let people see the thought process behind the decision. Also, brings to light the magnitude of a decision like this. Seeing the date so far in advance, I will be able to put this down on my calendar to attend. Whichever lake you choose, I look forward to attending my first OI and seeing MTN home if possible. If your cranking battery is bad, thats obviously the place to start. From there I would check all your connections. Is your bilge pump constantly running? What are you doing that is causing it to burn out? The kill switch is out of my league.

With a group size that big, you shouldnt have that big of a draw down. I run an 1197 and two x27cs throughout a tournament day, 3 battery 36v TM setup. It lasts throughout the day and them some.
