For what its worth I like my Detwiler. I have the exact dial and havent had any problems. I also like the fact that the unit is self contained and that I didnt have to add anything to the bilge area, which always seems crowded when you have to work in it anyway.

Sonny the prop was disappointing on the top end for me. I lost 3mph compared to my stock 27T prop. Holeshot and midrange were good though.

I am running that same hull and motor down here in Bridge City, TX. I like the 27T-1 yamaha prop. The 25p you have should give you a better hole shot and less topend. 27 for me cause I like to go as fast as I can. My hole shot is a little slow. I tried a 26 Fury and it did well overall with everything. Holeshot, midrange, and topend but it wasnt quit as fast as the 27T-1. I have also tried a tempest and it did so-so. The TXP prop I tried did horrible. But you can get them tuned to do almost anything you want with a good prop guy.

Robin, that is very nice of you to check on me. My family and I are doing real well overall. They are starting to texture the walls today. So hopefully by the first of the year well be back in our home. Right now we are in a 31ft travel trailer in the driveway. Its tight but we are making do. Thanks again, that is very nice.

Congrats on the BIRD, Tideman. I just ordered one today but not as fancy. I got the 787c2i and I will install myself. I didnt know you had a yellow cat. That explains why Phil got his colored the way he did. YOu know what they say Tide. “Impersonation is the high form of flattery.” He also said there were two cats doing 82mph on the lake, I wonder which two he saw, cause I wasnt up there that day?

I have 5 in the top twenty one so I could go either way. However I have David walker for 3rd.

It is simply a platet that goes between your jackplate and the motor and the power pole is mounted to that. Waorks great on mine.
