My dealer just finished the hook up and it works great. The analog needle still works the same as always but the improvement is in the digital side. I now have an accurate accurate MPH readout, heading, and and waypoint distance on my smart craft gauge digital readout. Very impressive and very useful. According to my dealer he did not use the com link cable and wired it per Humminbirds directions.

If he bought it from Texas Boat world, its my old classic (blue and white, broken skeg). The previous owner put PII decals on it. You can have your friend call me (check IM for #) and I can answer any questions he has about the boat. It is a very good boat by the way.Last edited by barkerg on September 3rd, 2009, 7:17 pm, edited 1 time in total.

I ran a Fury 26 at 6100 RPMs, 77 MPH. Great prop out of the hole, just eats gas and the stability is not so good, personally, I did not like this prop, some love it others havent, just a matter of personal preference. I went to a Trophy 26 and a Trophy 27 both burned out out of the hole (bad), the stability is good but suffered on speed at 72 MPH. I now run a Tempest 27, decent hole shot, 5900 RPMs, 81 MPH and the stability is awesome this prop is very controllable. My backup for heavy loads and rough water is a Bravo 1 26P, vented and balanced by Mark Croxton, amazing hole shot like a jet ski, it spins at 6000 RPMs, top speed, 76 MPH. Hope this helps.

We are ok here at Hood just shook up. As in the past we will march on with the support of everyones prayers. It just goes to show that no one or place is immune and that we must always look after each other. I will pass the blessings to my fellow soldiers. Thank you and God Bless, Gerald J. If we can get enough interested it will happen. Stillhouse is a great big bass lake and Belton is also very good for smallmouth and big bass.

Just spoke with Cliff, he is going to look at his calendar and compare other events to try and make it happen at lake Belton. If you have ever been to an event that Texas Boat World is running then you know that it will be a blast, Cliff is a true proffessional and a go to guy. More to follow on the dates.

Had a 26P Fury on an 09 Puma FTD 250 Pro XS. It did not matter how low or high the motor was, at 70+ the boat was uncontrollable. Put the prop on 2 other boats (Puma and Cougar) same thing. I then started using a 27P Tempest 80+ MPH and no issues. My back up prop is a B and Bed dual vented 26P Bravo 1 and it also has no issues. The Fury just seems to not work as well on these hulls. Hope this helps.

Mike, Long time no hear. Right now the lake level is even the fishing has been tough to say the least but has been improving. This upcoming (warmer) weather should help. This is a small local club here in Central Texas. We normally have at least 15 boats with our members so I expect 25-30 boats maybe more since it is an open. Let me know if you can make it, it would be a blast to fish with you again.Gerald Barker

Appreciate you chiming in with the support. I am sure Cliff will get with you soon. I will do my best to get a solid date. As of right now, BLORA (lake Belton) will be the sight. What I really need is to gage the interest level of our fellow owners.More to follow… Gerald Barker

Try to power down each unit individually instead of turning the master power off. I have found that this eliminates many of my network issues.
