Gary,Please post your results with the 25 Trophy on the owners board. I am buying a 2006 Pantera Classic (200 Optimax) and would like to know how the trophy prop runs.Troy West

Thanks for all the kind words from everyone. Glad to be in the Bass Cat family.billfish, I sold my Ranger in March and though I wanted a Triton, but soon realized that Bass Cat was the best bass boat. Then it was just a matter of deciding which one I could afford. I do most of my fishing in the Atchafalaya Spillway, but I also fish Toledo Bend and Venice some. Probably wont be fishing Venice much anytime soon with all the oil.

I live just south of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Who do you go to, to see if there is a problem with the axle? There is not a Bass Cat dealer around here and I bought the boat at Bowden Marine in Humble, Texas. Hope I do not have to go back to Houston.

I have a 06 Classic/Optimax 200 bought earlier this year. It also had a 25 Tempest on it but it was too small. I talked a lot with a guy in my area that has a Classic with a 200 Yamaha and he runs a 26 Fury most of the time and a 27 Tempest during some of the cold months. I tried the 26 Fury and it made a world of difference in the performance of my boat. Better holeshot, midrange and top end speed over the 25 Tempest. I am still playing with my engine height but so far I love the Fury on my boat.Troy West

I have the same battery set-up in my 06 Classic and my boat leans to the same side. Was wondering if this will cause any performance problems like chine walking or porposing?Troy West

Thanks. It will be great if I can get to ride with one of them.

The nylon spacers are a great idea to keep the aluminum from rubbing on the fiberglass. David, I might have to try some Velcro before I drill some holes. Thanks for all the ideas.

Congratulations Ryan! That is a beautiful boat. Its going to be fun getting the most out of both our boats. Slowly everybody down here is getting into a BassCat. It will be fun with everybody running together. Troy West

Andy, I just switched from motorguide to minn kota without drilling new holes. There was a thread several months ago that talked about this. If I remember right, all you have to do is remove the plastic left side cover plate of the mount to expose a different set of holes on that side that will match up with the holes already drilled in the boat. I changed mine with no problem, but you will need two people to do certain parts of the process. You can call me if you have anymore questions.Troy West225-937-2301
