thanks guys, here are my specs, 5900-6000 rpms every once in a while the alarm will sound at top end when bouncing, so its cranked up. brand new boat ran 76-78 with just me, 74 full tx. load. Now it runs 70 full tx load, Ive added one more 31 series battery and carry about 75lbs. tackle and gear, 4-31 series batterys total. Im running 72 by my self, 69-70 full tx load. What about all the post on pumas running 78-80, is this were I should be with my rig, do I need a hydraulic jack plate and new prop? The last puma owner who told me his boat was running 80, would not let me drive her or take me for a pass.Just want the truth ,and Im fine with that, Im not a speed freak and love my puma, I need my fact sheet to be right will be selling her in the spring for a demo eyra in 2013.

My 2010 puma had same issue, accept mine was the pump out that didnt work. first thing is to locate the pump in pump and switch it out with one that works, if thats the problem you just need new pump.my touch pad was bad and under warranty easy fix, bass cat was so helpful walked me through it If yours is bad and not under warranty price is around 180.00 for new touch pad, easy fix just unplugged old and plug in new. GOOD LUCK, hope I was clear in my process.

Please bcb, why cant I get answers to this post? What can you tell me about the motor running at 6130 rpms, is this ok?, will it blow it up? whats causing the 200 rpm difference in props but still the same 78 mph, Can anybudy with a 2010 puma ftd 250 xp on a manual jack plate give me there number. Icant find a 2010 250xp for sale on the site to see there numbers to compare, PLEASE I”m losing it guys.

Both props are 26 furys, new prop empty lockers 78 mph on gps and 5930 on the smart craft tac. 2nd prop is a 26 fury that i dinged and had fixed, same load boat ran 78 mph on gps and 6120 on the tac

Buddy at work slid a two inch piece of aluminum tube over the transom saver and migged it to the splitting original one, no more problem,cost one pit beef sandwich.
